Debian Error Activating Xkb Configuration
Member From: New Jersey, USA Registered: 2013-10-06 Posts: 17 [Solved] Error activating XKB configuration. Today when I logged in to Cinnamon, a pop-up appeared saying, "Error activating XKB configuration. There can be various reasons for that." It also said I should report the output of the following commands:$ xprop -root | grep XKB _XKB_RULES_NAMES_BACKUP(STRING) = "evdev", "pc104", "us", "", "" _XKB_RULES_NAMES(STRING) = "evdev", "pc104", "us", "", "" $ gsettings get org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard model '' $ gsettings get org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard layouts ['us', 'il'] $ gsettings get org.gnome.libgnomekbd.keyboard options ['grp\tgrp:alt_shift_toggle']As far as I know, nothing has changed since the last time I logged in, when everything was working. This message also pops up when I edit keyboard layout settings in Cinnamon Settings or dconf Editor. The keyboard applet no longer appears in my panel (though it is still there), and I cannot use Alt+Shift to switch keyboard layouts. What could be wrong? GNOME immer der folgende Fehler auf. Error activating XKB configuration It can happen under various circumstances:- a bug in libxclavier library- a bug in X server (xkbcomp, xmodmap, xmodmap utilities)- X server with incompatible libxkbfiles implementation X server version data: The X.Org Foundation 10300000 If you report the situation as a bug, please include: - The result of xprop -root | grep XKB - The result of gconftool-2 -R /desktop/gnome/peripherals/keyboard/kbd (siehe auch Screenshot) Es handelt sich hierbei um das Problem, dass das Tastaturlayout des X Servers nicht mit den GNOME Einstellungen übereinstimmt. Jetz klappts.
