Since the update/upgrade I get the following error during start-up:Error: Driver 'pcspkr' is already registered, On askubuntu I found the following solution: To solve that specific issue: Error: Driver 'pcspkr' is already registered, abortingJust use a live USB/DVD, mount your root system, edit the /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist.conf with root privileges and add the following line:blacklist pcspkrReboot into your system and done.My question is: why do I need to edit the blacklist.conf with the help of a live USB instead of just editing whilst being " in " the system? Did you (re)move /etc/apt/preferences?You may be better advised to use an LD_LIBRARY_PATH hack for this...I'm not an expert at this sort of thing though, I use neither Spotify nor the hack Using Debian ~ Debian Reference ~ CrunchBang FAQAdvice For New Users On Not Breaking Their Debian SystemForum Moderator Offline #3 2014-08-03 15:43:49 twoion Emerald Caffeine From: 星界 Registered: 2012-05-11 Posts: 1,648 Re: [solved] Error: Driver pcspkr already registered It's totally sufficient to blacklist the module from the running system (but the changes won't become active until after the next reboot - you can try manually unloading the module using modprobe -r pcspkr but as kernel modules can be depended upon, this might not work). pcspkr is the driver for that nasty little speaker that makes these annyoing BEEEEEEEPs for bell events or worse. Při spuštění Debianu Vám to háže tuhle chybu! Nainstaloval jsem si na svůj server Debian 5 v RAIDu 1 a jediný problém, který mi háže je http://kornel.cz/2010/09/debian-error-driver-%E2%80%98pcspkr%E2%80%99-is-already-registered-aborting%E2%80%A6/ tento: Error: Driver ‘pcspkr’ is already registered, aborting… Vyřešil jsem to jednoduše. 🙂 Do souboru ( vše se musí provádět pod právy roota): /etc/modprobe.d/blacklist Jsem vložil tento řádek: blacklist snd-pcsp Po restartu již systém chybu neháže.
