He was having some issues and found a program on the internet called 'Error End' that he thought would help. Now he can't get rid of it. Seems its always running, occasionally runs scans, and wants him to pay for the problems to be resolved. It does not show up in the 'uninstall programs' list. Is anyone familiar with this program and/or have a suggestion on some way to remove it? We'd appreciate any feedback. Hi Everyone, Out of the blue tonight I was looking at my list from the Start>All Programs>and I see on the list ErrorEND.exe. http://forum.worldstart.com/showthread.php?t=161703 Dated created and dated modified was 9/27/2012. And the type is a shortcut 1KB. If I click on it to open, it opens a small window that says basically "The item ErrorEND.exe' that this shortcut refers to has been changed or moved, so this shortcut will no longer work properly. Do you want to delete this shortcut? The other item is Uninstall - Dated created and dated modified was 9/27/2012. And the type is a shortcut 1KB. If I right click on it. It says Windows is searching for uninst.exe. Finally it says "Nearest match based on size date and type: C:\Program Files\CCleaner\uninst.exe. It asks if I want to fix this shortcut to point to target or do you just want to delete it? Fix it/Delete it/Cancel are the choices. I looked at a couple of sites and it sounded like this or something similar has/had the potential to destroy your computer. That is why I'm posting this... Your suggestions would be much appreciated in what to do with this? Thanks again, Ralphie __________________ HP-CQ5700F Windows 7 4 GB HD AOL 9.7 WiFi/BB LT HPnc6400 Vista Home MWBytes AVIR

This box tells you that Windows is having some trouble ending a program or process in the course of shutting down error end program and asks if you want to end it immediately or cancel the attempt. If you do nothing, Windows will continue to try to close the program in the normal way. The End Now prompt occasionally shows up on the computer screen when you shut down or restart the PC. The issue is a program that's stuck or one that's running but that Windows cannot shut down. To continue the shutdown process, click the End Now button. Or, in some cases, you can wait it out and Windows eventually shuts down the program automatically. The full-screen End Now message states something like The following programs are still running and then lists the programs. Click the Cancel button to stop the shutdown or logoff operation, or click the red button to continue. (The red button's text varies, depending on whether you're shutting down or just logging off.) Don't fall into the trap of automatically clicking the End Now button! Occasionally, the message
