Error 10047 Ics
10047: An address incompatible with the requested protocol was used. Translation:The error message you receive may vary and might include either of the following messages: Windows Firewall settings cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you want to start the Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing (ICS) service? Or This application has failed to start because SPORDER.dll was not found. The above error messages may appear after using Microsoft's Windows AntiSpyware (Beta) software. Some spyware applications install malicious LSPs (layer service protocols). LSPs can intercept traffic between your computer and the Internet, so they are often used by spyware to track your surfing habits (note however that not all LSPs are malicious in nature). According to Microsoft, when Windows AntiSpyware Beta removes malicious LSPs, it may not restore legitimate LSPs. This can cause the error messages above. Additionally, this may prevent some third party applications from functioning properly, prevent your computer from connecting to the network by preventing it from grabbing an IP address, or prevent you from connecting to certain Web pages in Internet Explorer. You can examine any potentially damaged LSPs by opening Windows AntiSpyware, selecting Advanced from the Tools menu, and clicking System Explorer. In the tree on the left side of the window, click Winsock LSPs. Broken LSPs will have a question mark next to them. Solution:According to Microsoft, if you're running Windows XP Service Pack 2, you should log into an Administrator account (usually the first account created). From the Start Menu, select Run and type CMD to open a command prompt. Type netsh Winsock reset. You should see a message reading "Successfully reset the Winsock Catalog. You must restart the machine in order to complete the reset." If you receive an error message stating that access was denied, you're not logged into an Administrator account. Log out and try logging into a different account. After you restart the computer, check for broken LSPs using Windows AntiSpyware. Run any third party applications listed to make sure they're functioning

You are better off, installing a free program such as Sygate's Personal Firewall, Agnitum's Outpost or Zonelab's Zonealarm. Either program will do a better job than M$. I agree that this fixes only the symptom, not the problem. But XP SP2 has caused so many problems, this may w
