Each time I try I get this message (in error 1316 uninstall full): Error 1316.A network error occured while attempting to read from the file C:\\WINDOWS\Installer\AcroRead.msi Then the installation fails. First of all, what does this mean and how can I resolve it? I have tried also to remove my existing version of Adober Reader and that failed also. I now have no Adobe Reader that I can use. Re: Error 1316 - Network Error ~graffiti Apr 20, 2009 10:49 AM (in response to (Andrew_Erroch)) Normally, this is an issue with the installer files. They can be cleaned up by installing and running the Microsoft Installer Cleanup Utility and removing any instances of Reader then reinstalling Reader. Like Show 0 Likes(0) Actions 4. In your control panel, and remove all adobe's and acobat's ...Everything that says adobe, clean it all out!!Then come back to this site, and reinstall the newest Adobe Reader. I am NOT a computer guru, and I was able to do this. Other Adobe's were conflicting with the older ones already installed

Now try your update. This Blog Loading... Monday, September 26, 2011 Error 1316. A network error occurred. If you receive the error message "Error 1316. A network error occurred" when installing software, it normally means that the computer was previously rebooted or turned off when it was previously installing the software. The registry key for this software is now corrupt and must be repaired. To resolve this issue, you must now remove the Windows Installer Entry for this software from Windows and reboot the computer. It is important to always reboot a computer after installing or removing software in order to complete the installation or removal process. When software is being installed, the compressed file is copied to the User's %temp% directory, located at C:\Documents and Settings\[Username]\Local Settings\AppData\Temp. As the compressed file is being processed, the extracted components that make up the software are copied to the hidden directory located at C:\Windows\Installer. The installation process then moves from one component to the next in the C:\Windows\Installer directory. This is called an MSI Chain. When the MSI Chain is corrupt, the installation process fails. Following is the quickest way to resolve this issue: Install the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. Open the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility - it is found in the root of Start - Programs - All Programs. Scroll down to the Windows Installer Entry that the installation process is failing on. The name of the Windows Installer Entry that must be removed is displayed in the Error 1316 message on screen as well as in the Event Viewer. Click Remove and wait a moment. Once the entry has been removed, close the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility. Reboot the computer. You are now able to install the software without problem. http://www.smartnetadmin.com If you found this information helpful, please consider linking to Eugene Computer Services.
