your account only takes a few minutes. Join Now We map several drives via login scripts and I have noticed this error in the past while installing Acrobat on Win 7, but I just set up a new Win 7 computer with Reader and a Reader 10.x update choked with this same error. There are several workarounds but none permanent that I can find. I don't mind the occasional workaround on an Acrobat installation but if READER updates are going to start choking it is totally unacceptable. Any advice? Thank you in advance. You can try changing the access permissions on the network folder to “write” for everyone to the shared folder or drive. There is another discussion on this here that mentions some registry key checks as well. 0 Jalapeno OP TechPro57 Apr 10, 2012 at 8:15 UTC TheJazBand wrote: I've discovered problems writing to and copying from network drives when using an admin account on windows 7. Adobe is aware and suggests using the SUBST command to temporarily re-assign the drive (L in my case). The workaround I used for Acrobat was changing a registry setting ("Explorer Shell" if memory serves). In that case it was a mapped H drive that was the offender. 0 Jalapeno OP TechPro57 Apr 10, 2012 at 8:24 UTC Lori @ AcrobatUsers.com wrote: This error can occur when a drive is mapped for the user but the installer is running in a system context.
