including how to fix this problem under OS X 10.7 Lion I fired up Photoshop today and was adobe error 150 30 fix greeted by this message: Same thing when I started Flash. Awesome… Keep in adobe support mind my Mac has been on for days and hasn’t had any other problems. I really hadn’t done anything adobe photoshop elements error 150 30 strange to break something. And I’m sure I’d used an Adobe product yesterday. Rebooting, of course, didn’t fix anything. Looking for help on Adobe’s forum didn’t help. But Google did. I found https://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/error-licensing-stopped-mac-os.html a page that basically explained how to hack around Adobe’s activation. I didn’t need to go that far, since I actually have a legal license. But part of the “how to steal CS4” post did help. All I had to do was get Adobe’s Licensing Repair tool here. I ran that and it worked immediately. No reboot needed. I’m thinking I got lucky. http://oldblog.erikphansen.com/adobe-cs4-error-15030-aka-i-hate-adobe-reason-34/ I just noticed that this process dumped a folder named AdobeLicensingFilesBackup into my Home folder. So, be aware of that. Update: Saturday, August 1, 2009 I see that this simply isn’t working for some people, but it looks like it still works for others. I don’t have an explanation for this. All I know is that it worked for me so I thought I’d share it with the world. I know that a fair number of people are landing on this page every day and would love to hear from those who it does work for, so I know that this tip is still useful. Update: Monday, August 31, 2009 - Try deleting the FLEXnet Publisher folder One of the replies below, from Simon, pointed out that you might need to delete the following folder for things to work again: /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher That’s worked for a few people out there, so give it a shot before you throw in the towel. Update: Wednesday, September 9, 2009 From Rob B. in the comments below: The Flexnet Publisher folder must be deleted. Not JUST the flexnet folder inside. ALONG WITH TH

This will perfom the steps suggested by Erik's Brain and Jake's Computer Blog. After completing these steps, you will need to re-enter your serial number, and CS4 will work again. Be aware that this is not a crack! You will need a valid serial number. If this doesn't work for you: let me know check if Adobe's Liscense Recovery tool was updated to a version other than 11.6.1 and if so, modify this scrip

The error 150:30 is described as a "license termination issue." There are 5 steps listed by Adobe to work this issue and they emphasized using the steps in order and not to jump over any step. For instance, the 1st step suggest locating the folder/file "Flex net" Numerous attempts to locate this file came up empty. So, I jumped to the 2nd suggested fix which was to download the "repair license" software which I did. When I tried to activate it, a warning came up stating that "they no longer support Power PCs." What to do? Come to the experts like I should have initially found on this forum. What led to this problem was that my Maverick 10.9 had degraded to the point that it would not boot up past the Air Drop log in page, asking for a password, something I never accessed. Brought it to Apple Tech's and their initial fix didn't solve the problem. So, on my return visit they stated that the fix had to be a complete wipe of the hard drive and reload of Mavericks. That they did and its been working flawlessly since until I attempted to access Photoshop Elements to process and edit photos. That's the story. What's the fix? Certainly Adobe isn't of any help. To true of many software companies isn't it? Here's hoping.
