In the end show the message: error 1920, Service "Ad-Aware 2007 Service", failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services. But I'm log in like Administrator. What I should to do? help me. All issues seem to be resolved now. I am running Avast 4.0 Home Edition and Spybot Search & Destroy 1.6. I have been trying to reinstall Adaware as well but get Error 1920 Service aawservice failed to start. Verify that you have sufficient privilege to start system services. I have done the following: Verified that Adaware was uninstalled thru add/remove programs Removed any Lavasoft folders that were still on my Hard drive rebooted a gajillion times. Tried Safe mode. I am the computer administrator...or at least I should be I checked ot amke sure there was not any other user accounts and all. Thanks in advance for assistance! I have Win XP. So today, I installed my programs I had such as C Cleaner, Spy Bot Search and Destroy, AVG Antispyware. I also tried to install Ad Aware.First, I accidentally installed a program called Adware, thinking I had clicked on Ad Aware. I removed it. Then, error 1920 and I tried to install Ad Aware. The first time this happened a message said verify that you have administrator rights. Click Start select run2. Type eventvwr.exe3. Press enter4. Search through the groups for errors and warnings.5. Double click on each error and or warning.6.
