The behavior is a bit varied when we access it on IE6 and IE7(both IEs are having same flash Player version). IE6 doesn’t work at all but IE7 works for some conditions. On flex error 2032 https Windows machine it is working fine(in IE6 and IE7). Error: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032: Stream Error. Fix AS3-Flex Error #2032 Stream Error By Michael Dobekidis | May 3, 2014 - 10:41 | May 5, 2014 actionscript, adobe air, flex, flex 4, workaround Recently I encountered an error #2032 within a two year project in Flex, for
Flex Error 2044
three days I struggled with it and tried almost everything, this is why I'm posting error 2032 mac this here so that it might save someone else time. This error occurred when I tried to do an HTTPService call to
Error 2032 Chrome
the Back-End and send some really heavy file. The file would require Back-End parsing and when that was over it would return a result. However mid-way the POST call would be interupted and I was presented with http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3873564/error-2032-stream-error a #2032 Stream Error fault. The solution was both simple and extremely hidden and in my opinion stupid. In the HTTPService I had set the property: this.requestTimeout = 3800; However as shown in this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8820715/flex-httpservice-times-out-anyway This property is NOT taken into consideration by the HTTPService. It needs: import flash.net.URLRequestDefaults; URLRequestDefaults.idleTimeout = 1200000; // or any amount of time in ms This way we override the default timeout of EVERY call and thus the request http://nightlycoding.com/index.php/2014/05/tip-as3-flex-error-2032-stream-error/ no longer fails… I truly hope this helps someone as the above post helped me. I'm having the same problem, but it looks like flash.net.URLRequestDefaults is for AIR projects only. In fact, the flash.net package I have in a .swc does not even have the URLRequestDefaults class. I'm wondering if there's a non-AIR workaround. Michael Dobekidis says: July 31, 2014 at 19:22 No this was an Air project. This error is quite common and can occur for a number of reasons. You can find many solutions on the net, I just documented one that wasn't anywhere else. From my experience I would say that this type of error is mostly related to the termination of a connection between a client and a server, the reason however will probably vary. Jina says: September 30, 2014 at 14:56 Miachael, I have both air and flash client and I am having same issue in air client. Do I need to set URLRequestDefaults.idleTimeout in a certain class in air package or any class is fine? Micha

I've tried mining the web and the Esri forums for any information that would help me rectify/diagnose the error. Tried everything out there, still with no error 2032 luck. It's not a cross domain issue. The server, map services, and I am all on the same domain. It's not a MIME types issue or a mixing of IP addresses with machine names issue. It occurs randomly at least once a day, doesn't matter which web browser is used (IE, FF) usually at the first instance the server has to "spin up" per flex error 2032 user invoke and serve the data in the morning, and it seems to be affecting random map services (of which there are 8). Here is the actual error message: County_Cities layer failed to load: Fault code: Server.Error.RequestFault info: HTTP request errorFault details: Error: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032: Stream Error. That still did not solve the issue. Here is a an example of the mapservice URL contained within my project's config.xml file:
