Error #2032: Stream Error
Community Stack Overflow is a community of 4.7 million programmers, just like you, helping each other. Join them; it only takes a minute: Sign up Flex: HTTP request error #2032 up vote 3 down vote favorite In Flex 3 application I use HTTPService class to make requests to the server: error 2032 chrome var http:HTTPService = new HTTPService(); http.method = 'POST'; http.url = hostUrl; http.resultFormat = 'e4x'; http.addEventListener(ResultEvent.RESULT, ...); http.addEventListener(FaultEvent.FAULT, ...); http.send(params); The application has Comet-architecture. So it makes long running requests. While waiting a response for this request, other requests can be made concurrently. The application works in most cases. But sometimes some clients get HTTP request error executing long running request: faultCode:Server.Error.Request faultString:'HTTP request error' faultDetail:'Error: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032"]. URL: http://example.com/ws' I think it depends on user's browser. Any ideas? flex actionscript-3 http comet share|improve this question edited Nov 28 '11 at 19:58 lesmana 12.9k64469 asked Sep 29 '09 at 11:08 alexey 4,32084480 add a comment| 7 Answers 7 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote accepted I experienced the same problem when I sent longer (3-4K!) parameter in HttpRequest. As soon as I sent smaller ones it worked (without refresh, reload or anything). I d

Fix AS3-Flex Error #2032 Stream Error By Michael Dobekidis | May 3, 2014 - 10:41 | May 5, 2014 actionscript, adobe air, flex, flex 4, workaround Recently I encountered an error #2032 within http://nightlycoding.com/index.php/2014/05/tip-as3-flex-error-2032-stream-error/ a two year project in Flex, for three days I struggled with it https://github.com/swfobject/swfobject/issues/35 and tried almost everything, this is why I'm posting this here so that it might save someone else time. This error occurred when I tried to do an HTTPService call to the Back-End and send some really heavy file. The file would require Back-End parsing and when that was over it would return a error 2032 result. However mid-way the POST call would be interupted and I was presented with a #2032 Stream Error fault. The solution was both simple and extremely hidden and in my opinion stupid. In the HTTPService I had set the property: this.requestTimeout = 3800; However as shown in this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8820715/flex-httpservice-times-out-anyway This property is NOT taken into consideration by the HTTPService. It needs: import flash.net.URLRequestDefaults; URLRequestDefaults.idleTimeout = 1200000; error id =2032 // or any amount of time in ms This way we override the default timeout of EVERY call and thus the request no longer fails… I truly hope this helps someone as the above post helped me. I'm having the same problem, but it looks like flash.net.URLRequestDefaults is for AIR projects only. In fact, the flash.net package I have in a .swc does not even have the URLRequestDefaults class. I'm wondering if there's a non-AIR workaround. Michael Dobekidis says: July 31, 2014 at 19:22 No this was an Air project. This error is quite common and can occur for a number of reasons. You can find many solutions on the net, I just documented one that wasn't anywhere else. From my experience I would say that this type of error is mostly related to the termination of a connection between a client and a server, the reason however will

The releases page shows that url: https://github.com/swfobject/swfobject/releases Which works: https://github.com/swfobject/swfobject/archive/2.2.zip schwack commented Jan 9, 2015 My apologies, I may have jumped the gun. I naturally assumed that when the installer said it failed "Downloading 2.2.zip from: https://github.com/swfobject/swfobject/archive[get] IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032" errorID=2032" that it was telling me the truth. Following the path to the repo and seeing "This GitHub edition of SWFObject is our 2.3 beta. The current release – 2.2 – is still available for download at code.google.com/p/swfobject/" seemingly validated the problem. Apparently the Flex installer is either: a) not picking up the alias from the config file, in which case it may be trying to download from the url for 2.3 and the installer is telling the truth, or b) looking in the right place, failing to download (??) and reporting the wrong error... Hmmm... I can download it np.... wait... if I download from http://swfobject.googlecode.com/files/swfobject_2_2.zip I get "swfobject_2_2.zip" from https://github.com/swfobject/swfobject/archive/2.2.zip I get "swfobject-2_2.zip" That cou
