So it makes long running requests. While waiting a response for this request, other requests can be made concurrently. The application works in most cases. But sometimes some clients get HTTP request error executing long running request: faultCode:Server.Error.Request faultString:'HTTP request error #2032 flash player error' faultDetail:'Error: [IOErrorEvent type="ioError" bubbles=false cancelable=false eventPhase=2 text="Error #2032"]. As soon as I sent smaller ones it worked (without refresh, reload or anything). I do not know if there is a limit on client side or on web server side of the length of parameters you can send but definitely this causes the issue. url limitations may cause it share|improve this answer edited Nov 26 '12 at 8:44 S.L. This post appears similar to your situation. This post might help you find more debugging information which would be helpful. Which clients are affected? Can you capture the http status code or the traffic being sent using Charles, Wireshark, or similar? share|improve
Fix AS3-Flex Error #2032 Stream Error By Michael Dobekidis | May 3, 2014 - 10:41 | May 5, 2014 actionscript, adobe air, flex, flex 4, workaround Recently I encountered an error #2032 within a two year project in Flex, for three days I struggled with it and tried almost everything, this is why I'm posting this here so that it might save someone else time. This error occurred when I tried to do an HTTPService call to the Back-End and send some really heavy file. The file would require Back-End parsing and when that was over it would return a result. However mid-way the POST call would be interupted and I was presented with a #2032 Stream Error fault. The solution was both simple http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1491902/flex-http-request-error-2032 and extremely hidden and in my opinion stupid. In the HTTPService I had set the property: this.requestTimeout = 3800; However as shown in this post: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/8820715/flex-httpservice-times-out-anyway This property is NOT taken into consideration by the HTTPService. It needs: import flash.net.URLRequestDefaults; URLRequestDefaults.idleTimeout = 1200000; // or any amount of time in ms This way we override the default timeout of EVERY call and thus the request no longer fails… I truly hope this helps someone as the above post helped http://nightlycoding.com/index.php/2014/05/tip-as3-flex-error-2032-stream-error/ me. I'm having the same problem, but it looks like flash.net.URLRequestDefaults is for AIR projects only. In fact, the flash.net package I have in a .swc does not even have the URLRequestDefaults class. I'm wondering if there's a non-AIR workaround. Michael Dobekidis says: July 31, 2014 at 19:22 No this was an Air project. This error is quite common and can occur for a number of reasons. You can find many solutions on the net, I just documented one that wasn't anywhere else. From my experience I would say that this type of error is mostly related to the termination of a connection between a client and a server, the reason however will probably vary. Jina says: September 30, 2014 at 14:56 Miachael, I have both air and flash client and I am having same issue in air client. Do I need to set URLRequestDefaults.idleTimeout in a certain class in air package or any class is fine? Michael Dobekidis says: September 30, 2014 at 14:59 I would suggest adding it in the same class that the url request is happening, or in the root file of th
error 'Error #2032: Stream Error' Hi All, I am unable to open my flex web application in iTest. When I click 'Start' on new session, internal browser window opens. My web https://forums.spirent.com/questions/21964/unable-to-load-flex-application-getting-error-erro.html application loading starts and after some time error 'Error #2032: Stream Error. URL:/framework_4.0.0.5902.swz' https://flexcapacitorblog.wordpress.com/2007/02/15/error-2032-stream-error/ comes. I have added iTestAutomationEnv.xml and iTestFlexWrapper.swf files into my web app server. 'Error #2032: Stream Error' comes because an swf try to access a file across a restricted domain. For that I added crossdomain.xml file in my web server. But it also didn't help. Also file 'framework_4.0.0.5902.swz' in error doesn't exist on web error #2032 server. Flex version on which flex error#2032 url your application has developed. Have you enabled flex option under session properties of Web session. Make sure that you are specifying the correct URL i.e. URL with / slashes. I'm able to see my app for some time and then 'Error #2032: Stream Error. URL:/framework_4.0.0.5902.swz' error comes. Also I have tried another approach of building application with iTest's swc file. Causes: This error appears to occur when the url or file is blocked or not found by HTTPService call. For me, this error appeared when I had typed in the incorrect url in the HTTPService url property. Specifying the correct URL fixed it. To check this you can check your URL for typos or try to access the URL outside of your app to make sure it is there. Use Service Capture, Charles or Firebug to inspect the response from the server. If the file is not found the server still sends a response back (html or xhtml (xml)). Note: Additional tips and use cases are mentioned in the comments. This error is also caused by a swf trying to access a file across a restricted domain. It's not going to get the file if it is not allo
