So it makes long running requests. While waiting a response for this request, other requests can be made concurrently. The application works in most cases. But sometimes some clients get HTTP request error executing long running request: faultCode:Server.Error.Request faultString:'HTTP request

As soon as I sent smaller ones it worked (without refresh, reload or anything). I do not know if there is a limit on client side or on web server side of the length of parameters you can send but definitely this causes the issue. url limitations may cause it share|improve this answer edited Nov 26 '12 at 8:44 S.L. This post appears similar to your situation. This post might help you find more debugging information which would be helpful. Which clients are affected? Can you capture the http status code or the traffic being sent using Charles, Wireshark, or similar? share|improve this ans

A few end users are getting the following error message with they launch the viewer http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1491902/flex-http-request-error-2032 with these URL parameters:RPC Fault faultstring="Error #2032" faultcode="null" faultDetail="null"I traced the browser activity with Fiddler and noticed that when the viewer sends a query request to the map service the response is a request for client credentials. When I (and many of my colleagues) run the viewer we don't encounter this problem and the response is successful. The URL looks like this:/ArcGIS/rest/services/MyServiceName/MapServer/0/query?f=amf&returnGeometry=true&where=ID%3D5818&spatialRel=esriSpatialRelIntersectsI'm using ArcGIS Server 10. I'm currently asking the effected https://geonet.esri.com/thread/28176 users to try a version of the viewer that I have changed the requested format from AMF to JSON. I'm waiting to hear what the results are.Any ideas about what is going on?ThanksMarkOutcomesVisibility: ArcGIS API for Flex2879 ViewsLast modified on May 13, 2011 7:47 AMTags:flexContent tagged with flexweb_developersContent tagged with web_developersThis content has been marked as final. Do I have to add every user who is going to access the service to agsuser? It's not a protected service so it would be nearly impossible for me to anticipate who is going to access it.I switched the format of the response to JSON instead of AMF and now it's working without a hitch for those folks who were having issues.Like • Show 0 Likes0 Actions disn May 26, 2011 5:24 AM[...]I switched the format of the response to JSON instead of AMF and now it's working without a hitch for those folks who were having issues.Thank you!All I did was
