We were able to downloadan executable from a workstation that has Internetconnection capability and then copied http://microsoft.public.windowsnt.terminalserver.misc.narkive.com/ILJHrHFy/error-2140-dhcp-client it to the server'sdesktop. When trying to execute the file, it states thatthe server does not have an Internet connection and stopsthe installation process. We tried to install IE 5.5three different times and it wasn't successful. Theinstallation seems to go well until we tried to initializeIE. We would try to use the connection wizard and itwould not find the connection. We then looked at the Service feature in the Control Paneland saw that the DHCP Manager was set to Automatic andStarted. Posts: 1 DHCP Error 2140 Hi All! I'm receiving an error when I try to start the DHCP service on one of my Windows NT 4.0 Servers. The error reads "Could not start the DHCP client service on \\servername. Error 2140: an internal Windows error occurred." I've tried to research this error as best I could, but unfortunately I haven't been able to come up with anything. Any help that you could give with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!
