Cannot Create Object Problem When working in Shelbyv.5 (or trying to launch it), user receives the following error: Error 429 — ActiveX Component Cannot Create Object Cause Error 429 is caused http://community.shelbysystems.com/v5/f/159/t/7228 by one or more of Shelby's system files (.ocx or .dll) not being correctly registered. Resolution To resolve this issue, register the system files by using these steps: Close Shelby v.5 on the workstation or server experiencing the error. Right-click the Shelby v5 icon on the Desktop and select Properties. Click the Shortcut tab and click the Open File Location button. This will open up a window error 429 to the program directory for Shelby (most likely ssv5.prg). Right-click on the SSRegister.cmd file and choose Run as Administrator. After the process completes, test the Shelby v.5 program again.
