Code 2, Reason 2009 was app server Technote (troubleshooting) Problem(Abstract) The IBM WebSphere MQ Reason Code 2009 (MQRC_CONNECTION_BROKEN) may occur when an application tries to connect to a WebSphere MQ queue manager. Often this occurs when the Application Server tries to use an MQ connection is QCF pool. Symptom Here are some examples of errors that are caused by Reason Code 2009: The following exception was logged javax.jms.JMSException: MQJMS2008: failed to open MQ queue com.ibm.mq.MQException: MQJE001: Completion Code 2, Reason 2009 javax.jms.JMSException: MQJMS2005: failed to create MQQueueManager for 'mynode:WAS_mynode_server1' at com.ibm.mq.jms.services.ConfigEnvironment.newException(ConfigEnvironment.java:556) at com.ibm.mq.jms.MQConnection.createQM(MQConnection.java:1736) ... com.ibm.mq.MQException: MQJE001: An MQException occurred: Completion Code 2, Reason 2009 MQJE003: IO error transmitting message buffer at com.ibm.mq.MQManagedConnectionJ11.

AcolyteJoined: 09 Aug 2007Posts: 74Location: MD, USA When I http://www.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21226703 try to get a JMS message using a custom Java application that has worked without problems for a few years, it now reports the following error: Code: main: com.ibm.msg.client.jms.DetailedMessageFormatException: JMSWMQ2002: Failed to get a message from destination 'TESTQ1'. WebSphere MQ classes for JMS attempted to perform an MQGET; however WebSphere MQ reported an error. Use the linked exception to determine the cause of this error. main: com.ibm.mq.MQException: JMSCMQ0001: WebSphere MQ call failed with compcode http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB/viewtopic.php?p=319380&sid=b980b5bec874b3df8eb9dc96379eb06f '1' ('MQCC_WARNING') reason '2119' ('MQRC_NOT_CONVERTED'). The source queue manager is running on MQ v. 6.0.2.7 and the destination queue manager is on MQ v. 7.0.1.3. Both are on AIX boxes running v. 5.3. The MQ error log on the destination shows a problem converting CCSID 500 to 1208. I did a web search for this problem, and there's an IBM explanation that character sets used to be converted within the JVM, but with MQ v. 7, it is done by the channel agent. In any case, there was no (for me anyway) simple solution provided. I'm not a UNIX guru. I don't know how to fix this problem, and also, the best way to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated! What does offset=6 mean? I want to compile using Java 6 and Websphere 7 supports Java 6. I do see that the JDK in the IBM directory where server is installed is Java 7. Is that what is causing this? ....but again my workspace's Eclipse compiler is set to Java 1.6. java eclipse java-ee websphere-7 jdk1.6 share|improve this question edited Feb 19 '13 at 13:19 Jacek Laskowski 16.7k454123 asked Feb 17 '13 at 21:40 mi3 1811412 add a comment| 8 Answers 8 active oldest votes up vote 21 down vote accepted WebSphere Application Server V7 does support Java Platform, Standard Edition (Java SE) 6 (see Specifications and API documentation in the Network Deployment (All operating systems), Version 7.0 Information Center) and it's since the release V8.5 when Java 7 has been supported. I couldn't find the Java 6 SDK documentation, and could only consult IBM JVM Messages in Java 7 Windows documentation.
