Error 500 Corrupt Data Exception
exist on single server Technote (FAQ) Question When you use a Web browser to perform tasks in a database on a Lotus Domino Web server, the following error occurs: "HTTP Web Server: Corrupt Data Exception" Answer This issue was reported to Quality Engineering as SPR# KMUR69HG86 and determined not to be a software problem. The error occurs when you have multiple replicas of a database on a single Lotus Domino server. This setup is an unsupported configuration. There should never be more than one replica of a database on a server. If you need more than one instance of a certain database for different user populations, use a copy based on the same design template instead of a replica. My problem here is that, I somehow get that "Corrupt Data Exception" error. I have tried fixup() in the server's console BUT I am still having the error. I am able to see the data on the Views individually... Can anyone advise on this?... https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/24742232/Error-500-HTTP-Web-Server-Corrupt-Data-Exception.html thanks 0 Question by:praetorean Facebook Twitter LinkedIn Google Best Solution bypraetorean my suspect too what that the code should be harmless...it's been there for the last 7 years (we try not to change too much on the code as we have limited tech resources on lotus notes, and even i am a Go to Solution 10 Comments LVL 10 Overall: Level 10 Lotus IBM 2 Message Expert Comment by:kcarrim2009-09-18 Do you perhaps have multiple replicas of the same database on the same server? Also try re-apply the design template. HTTP Web Server: Corrupt Data ExceptionNot that common an error in practice. Usually due to a change in the design of a form taking place after a user opens it and before they submit it. I expect it does something "illegal", e.g. it saves a document that should not be saved. 0 LVL 15 Overall: Level 15 Lotus IBM 13 Message Expert Comment by:akhafaf2009-09-19 Hi there praetorean,,, May I suggest applying the following : 1- Fixup -f 2- updall -r 3-Compact - c-i You also can read the following links : http://www.codestore.net/store.nsf/cmnts/819F9D026AE9402086256D4800452458?OpenDocument http://www-10.lotus.com/ldd/nd6forum.nsf/ReleaseAllThreadedweb/632a2025bd5904ce852574cc005005f7?OpenDocument Best Wishes 0 Message Author Comment by:praetorean2009-09-22 @akhafaf: i tried fixup / updall / compact...

In that situation, it means that the design note (form) that the data note (document) needs has changed since the document was put into edit mode. You typically fix it by closing and reopening the document and going on with your life. In this case, it error 500 corrupt almost appears that you actually have a corrupt design note in some way. Perhaps it is signed in such a way as the server cannot access it? Perhaps it calls to an agent that the server cannot run? Perhaps "fixup" could repair some problem? Be sure to check your server's log.nsf, as it will probably contain a better error message. Good luck, Kevin Return to top Error 500 : Corrupt Data Exception ... (Deepika K Mudda... 20.Aug.01) . .
