Error 503 Backend Fetch Failed Varnish
Migrations Integrations Online video streaming Live streaming On-the-fly packaging Home Guides Debugging [JA] 日本語 Common 503 errors Varnish, the software that runs on the Fastly CDN, will sometimes return standardized 503 responses due to various issues that can occur when attempting to fetch data from your origin servers. The generic status text associated with a 503 error is "Service Unavailable." It can mean a wide variety how to fix error 503 backend fetch failed of things. The most common reasons this generic text appears include: The origin server generated a 503 error and Fastly passed it through as is. The origin returned a 503 error without a response header, so Fastly used the default response. The status line of the HTTP response from the origin was not parseable. VCL code was run that used the "error" statement without an appropriate response status (e.g., error 503 instead of error 503 "_broken thing_"). The following list provides the most common non-generic, standardized 503 responses and basic explanations for each. WARNING: If you are seeing 503 errors, do not purge all cached content. Purge all overrides stale-if-error and increases the requests to your origin server, which could result in additional 503 errors. 503 Backend Read Error This error typically appears if a timeout error occurs when Fastly cache servers attempt to fetch content from your origins. It can also be due to a variety of transient network issues that might cause a read to fail (e.g., router failovers, packet loss) or an origin overload. Benchmarking your backend response times. Many outside factors cause backends response times to vary. Repeated, consistent Backend Read Errors frequently

The Service is unavailableJan 4, 20161,986 views8 Likes5 CommentsShare on LinkedInShare on FacebookShare on Twitter 1. Symptoms Before updating my SQL Server 2014 I was able to publish my reports https://www.linkedin.com/pulse/ssrs-http-error-503-service-unavailable-badrane-derbazi and connect to my server using Microsoft Report Builder 3.0 (see Figure 1 & Figure 3). Subsequently, a weird error raised (see Figure 2). Therefore, I was not only able to reach the main page of the http://localhost/Reports, but also to connect to http://localhost/ReportServer, I tried hard to figure out what's going on by reading blogs, Forums..... etcetera, without success to find a solution. This morning, I was lucky because I found out how to correct the above error by using the Reporting Services Configuration Manager despite I used it to update the port #80 to 8080 and adding port 443. 2. Solution Check if there is any down Sql Server service (services.msc) Go to Reporting Services Configuration Manager Connect to the default Instance Go to the Web Service URL tab Change the name of the virtual Directory (in my case I changed it to MyReportServer) Click Apply Go to the Report Manager URL Change the name of the virtual Directory (in my case I changed it to MyReport) Cli

and 2.0.1. When the hosts file was modified the 127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain4 got overwritten. The database backup and restore routines in the Console use commands that do a DNS lookup on localhost, if the above entry is missing it tries to resolve using an IPv6 entry and immediately fails. Resulting in the HTTP error.... HTTP ERROR: 503Problem accessing /console/. ReasonService Unavailable If you look at the size of the database backup file in the Management Console you will notice that the file size is 0.04MB. Depending on the number of Endpoints, Groups, Profiles and firmware in the Management Console the file size should be in excess of 30MB. So basically you are taking a blank database from Management Console 2.0.x and overwriting the Management Console 2.1.0 with it. To resolve this issue simply edit the hosts file in Management Console 2.0.x as follows: log into the console screen for MC 2.0.x edit the host file using the following command vi /etc/hosts hit the insert key - the vi editor should show Insert at bottom of page ensure your host file looks similar to below when finished editing: 127.0.0.1 my_mc.mydomaim.local (this is a line entry that you would add in please ensure you use the correct host name and domain name, do not enter this bold text in) 127.0.0.1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost4 localhost4.localdomain ::1 localhost localhost.localdomain localhost6 localhost6.localdomain6 hit esc then enter :wq this will save the host file and quit the vi editor next restart the network by typing /etc/init.d/network restart See also: Management Console Administartor Guide 2.0 Products: PCoIP Management Console Release Version: PCoIP Management Console: 2.0.0, 2.0.1Knowledge BaseTroubleshootingBy ProductPCoIP Management ConsoleWas this answer helpful?Knowledge BaseTroubleshootingBy Problem CategorySession DisconnectsSession and AuthenticationAudioDisplayNetworking and SecurityUSB PeripheralsPoor PerformanceBy ProductPCoIP
