This lookup (conversion of IP name to IP address) is provided by domain name servers (DNSs). Open an IP socket connection to that IP address. Write an HTTP data stream through that socket. Receive an HTTP data stream back from the Web server in response. This data stream contains status codes whose values are determined by the HTTP protocol. Parse this data stream for status codes and other useful information. This error occurs in the final step above when the client receives an HTTP status code that it recognises as '503'. Configure your firewall to ignore the tower IP addresses or out them on the whitelist. Check whether the connector is hitting the limit of ephemeral ports While the problem is happening, run the following command from the Command Prompt on the Connector machine: netstat -na >C:\netstat.txt Go to Windows services panel, and restart the Proxy Agent service If restarting the Proxy Agent resumes the service, you may be experiencing an issue with the limit of ephemeral ports -- there may be more connections to that server than the connector machine can handle. Send the netstat.txt to Technical Support for analysis. Check port conflict Stop the proxy agent service from the Windows Serviced panel, and run the command below: netstat -na | find ":8080" If there is any process listening to port 8080, a service other than the connector is using the port 8080.
