I am deploying my application to Weblogic 10.3.6 which in integrated with Eclipse server. When I publish application to server, it gets published(deployed) however it takes quite some time to get published when compared to Glassfish. The problem I am having is when I try to run application from browser I am getting the following error in browser, though I do not see any errors or exception in logs. How can I resolve this issue? And why it is taking so much to gets deployed to server? Error 503--Service Unavailable From RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol -- HTTP/1.1: 10.5.4 503 Service Unavailable The server is currently unable to handle the request due to a temporary overloading or maintenance of the server. The implication is that this is a temporary condition which will be alleviated after some delay. If known, the length of the delay may be indicated in a Retry-After header. If no Retry-After is given, the client SHOULD handle the response as it would for a 500 response. Note: The existence of the 503 status code does not imply that a server must use it when becoming overloaded. Some

This is what I did: Using wdeploy I created buildwar. "Build Successful" Copied orb.jar file, 3 XML files into endorsed folder and creates CLASSPATH according to documentation. Using weblogic console deployed the "wijsp.war" file. "Deployed successfully" Able to open: http://myhost:7001/wijp When I clicked LOGIN:
This Site Careers Other all forums Forum: BEA/Weblogic Weblogic starts successfully but I'm getting 'Service Unavailable' K DeLucia Ranch Hand Posts: 68 posted 5 years https://coderanch.com/t/552860/BEA-Weblogic/Weblogic-starts-successfully-Service-Unavailable ago Weblogic 9.2 - 2 clustered servers running on Windows. They have https://coderanch.com/t/477556/BEA-Weblogic/Deploying-simple-web-app-Weblogic been working perfectly for years. Today, when I try to start them, I get success messages - both seem to think they are successfully started and running normally, however when I try to access the console (or an app) from the browser, I get the error 503 message 'Service Unavailable'. I'm not seeing any other errors in the browser or in any log files. I've tried starting the server manually from the command line but I get the same results. I have no idea where to begin troubleshooting this. Any ideas on what I should look at? Thanks for any info. robin patel Greenhorn error 503 service Posts: 16 posted 5 years ago Hi, Can you check the port number and the listen address which you are using to access the console/app from the browser? Are you using HTTP port or HTTPS ? If HTTP, then can you check whether the HTTP port is actually enabled or not in Weblogic ? The best part to confirm this is to check the out file of the server and see on which port/ listen address the server is listening too and use this information you should be able to access the console and you application. Note: The existence of the 503 status code does not imply that a server must use it when becoming overloaded. Some servers may wish to simply refuse the connection. This is a very simple app.I tried deploying it as both a WAR as well as an exploded app. I have called the app test. The folder structure is as follows- test --WEB-INF ----web.xml The contents of web.xml are -
