How can I prepare? Configure your firewall If you route mail to an on-premise mail server -- for example, if you have non-Gmail mailboxes or delivery endpoints such as Exchange mailboxes, ticketing systems, or other on-premise systems -- you’ll need to adjust your firewall configuration prior to initiating your service transition. We recommend that you make this change immediately even if you haven’t received your transition invitation. Anyone have any idea on what might cause this. It was working fine for months, no upgrades or patches were done on the connection server. Re: HTTP error 503 View Conneciton Server mpryor Feb 20, 2013 3:10 AM (in response to error 503 meyner22) It sounds like communication between your security server and connection server is broken. The SS will return with 503 if it's unable to forward the request on to the paired CS. Make sure you check that the health status for the servers are green and confirm that the required firewall ports are open. Note that 503 can also be returned by some proxy servers if they're unable to reach the View server. Like Show 0 Likes (0) Actions http error 503. 2. Re: HTTP error 503 View Conneciton Server meyner22 Feb 20, 2013 7:59 AM (in response to mpryor) Thanks for the reply. Although it should have seemed obvious to check the firewall settings which were fine, I didn't check to see if the Windows Firewall was on(which I disabled on both the security and connection servers). I recently applied new Windows updates which I'm guessing re-enabled the Windows firewall and of course were blocking the ports. After disabling the firewall everything checks out. Re: HTTP error 503 View Conneciton Server mpryor Feb 25, 2013 1:02 AM (in response to jjgunn) I wouldn't recommend disabling the firewall entirely, we do document the specific ports we need open on a security server and by default we use the built-in windows firewall for setting up the ipsec tunnel back to the paired connection server in 5.1+. [closed] up vote 41 down vote favorite 10 we have a asp.net MVC application deployed to a server, and but when there is too many request to the server, the client will just get a "503 service unavailable" error. But if I deployed the application to another server ( lower hardware configuration ), everything worked fine, even more requests it can handle well. My question is what possible configuration can cause the previous server to just throw out a 503 error ? (which means the requests didn't reach our application). asp.net-mvc iis windows-server-2003 http-status-code-503 share|improve this question asked Nov 11 '10 at 2:37 MemoryLeak 3,1311966111 closed as too broad by Flexo♦ Jan 19 '14 at 11:46 There are either too many possible answers, or good answers would be too long for this format.
