normal. The printer went through a startup routine, cleaning heads and what-not, but when it oracle error 6502 in fdpstp finished the error persisted. I restarted the machine, and still, the error remained. After a bit of googling, I found the solution: oracle error 6502 in afscpcon How to RESET the Error code “6502” 1 - Unplug your printer, pausing for effect. 2 - Plug the printer back in and then: 2a - Press AND HOLD the Power button 2b - Press the http://fix-your-printer.blogspot.com/2009/03/error-code-6502-on-canon-printer.html Stop button twice 2c - Release the Power button 2d - Press the Stop button a further four times (see notes) notes: - someone reported you may hear beeping, I did not - I think the four button press of the stop AFTER releasing the Power button may not be required since once the powerbutton was released, the system immediately went into a startup routine, it didn't appear to wait for the http://dav3.net/396/ stop buttons. But who knows, it was there, I did it, and it worked Author DavePosted on 2010/04/192010/07/09Categories generalTags cis, error, howto, mp620, reset 3 thoughts on “Reset Error Code 6502 - Cannon MP620” simon valeriu says: 2013/04/26 at 07:53 very good method Reply ayrtopia says: 2016/04/14 at 15:09 i used this method almost 3 times or more coz i also saw this on other blogs but then it does not work in my canon IP3680 printer. error 6502 is still appearing. Reply Dave says: 2016/04/16 at 02:16 Sorry to hear that. It's a real bugger when things don't go as they should. I no longer use this inking system and perhaps Canon have changed things up a bit. Remove the print heads and give them a real good clean and make sure when putting everything back in that there is complete freedom of movement and there isn't even the slightest of snags. Good luck.
