This type of error can be caused by invalid print commands, corrupt error hp data, or invalid operations. In some instances, electrical noise in the cable can corrupt data during transmission to the printer. Other causes include poor quality parallel cables, poor connections, or specific software programs. Sometimes, the formatter itself is at fault, which is usually indicated by a 79 Service Error.Remove all memory DIMMs or thirdparty DIMMs from the printer. (Do not remove the firmware DIMM in slot J1.)1 Turn the printer on.2 If the error message disappears,reinstall 49.4c06 error hp each DIMM and EIO device individually, making sure to turn theprinter power off and then on again as you install each device. 3 Replace the DIMM or EIO device that caused the error message.4 Remember to reconnect all of the cables that connect the printer to the network or computer.5 If this error message persists, replace the firmware DIMM. 6 Replace the formatter assembly by aerolaser on Feb 10, 2009 at 6:46am Add comment Please sign in to comment 0 Yeah pretty known issue usually a PDF file. Best bet would be to obviously print to another machine if possible. Try transfering the file to a different application. I haven't run into it enough to test it out fully but most people I tell them to advoid that individual file and it works itself out. Something obviously has been changed in some software applications and HP is currrently trying to correct the problem but really havent been able to pin point the issue between there firmware and the software's language issue. Pretty much its like if I was speaking english then for a sentence or two switched to Chinese then switched back to english. You would be like I didnt understand what he just said. Same thing is going on in your machine. I'm not sure but maybe if using PCL6 switch to a PCL5 driver
