I recently installed Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit on a brand new internal hard drive. I'm in the process of https://forums.adobe.com/thread/800128 removing all my apps from Vista and reinstalling on this OS. Here's a breakdown on what I've done regarding CS4 Design Premium:1) Deactivated the install from Vista.2) Verified with Customer Support that my license key is available for install and activation.3) Disabled User Account Control setting in Windows 7.4) Tried installing from the discs, only to get the error: "Setup has encountered an error and cannot continue. Contact Adobe Customer Support for assistance."5) Reattempted installation, as I've read that sometimes a second attempt will work fine. No good.6) Downloaded and ran the Win CS5 Cleanup Script (which has an add-on utility for CS3 and CS4) in order to get rid of trace registry files. This did its job successfully.7) Found an official trial of CS4 Design Premium, which downloaded straight from Adobe's website. Tried installing that, as I've read that the trial can be successful over the discs. No good.Does anyone have any other help they can offer? Any

Adobe Lightroom installed without any problem, but the Photoshop CS4 installation seems to stall at the same step each and every time (see further error installing below). Besides running the regular Setup.exe (as Administrator), I have tried running it in compatibility mode for Vista SP1 and even XP, to no effect however. One forum user here suggested running it from a DVD, but this doesn't resolve the issue either.Invariably, the installation procedure first shows "Checking System Profile," and after clicking the install button, error installing windows "Preparing to install," but after that nothing happens (I waited for up 30 minutes). Unlike some other users on this forum, I did not get any error messages. The whole installation procedure just doesn't seem to carry on.Any guidance as to what other steps I could/should take would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.LucPS - Other than that, Windows 7 RC is working great! I even installed it on a netbook which has been running without a glitch so far and doesn't seem to be any slower than XP the netbook came with originally (although I must add that the number of applications that I have on the netbook is far more limited than on my desktop). Initially, I had installed the 32-bit version on a second partition, but later decided to give it a try with the 64-bit ve
