Domain Join Error Resolution An attempt to resolve the DNS name of a DC in the domain joined has failed. Please verify this client is configured to reach a DNS server that can resolve DNS names in the target domain. When you type the domain name, make sure you type the DNS Domain Name, rather than the NetBIOS name. For example, if the DNS name of the domain is fabrikam.com, make sure you enter that name instead of just fabrikam. Gepubliceerd op 30 nov. 2014Assuming your server is setup correctly and the workstation is also set up correctly with a proper ip address and a DNS that looks at the server.You may have even successfully joined an xp workstation to this domain but can't seem to connect with windows 7 pro.Simple to fix in my case I just disabled or temporarily un checked the ipv6 protocol in the setting of the local network.This simplified the view of the machine by the server and allows the negotiation.Than just re check box the ipv6 protocol after the welcome handshake so the workstation can access the internet correctly.restart the computer.
