I have downloaded j3d-1_5_2-linux-i586.zip, and unpacked j3dcore.jar, j3dutils.jar, vecmath.jar, libj3dcore-ogl.so, libj3dcore-ogl-cg.so and added them all as 'Referenced Libraries' within my project folder. this gets rid of any compilation warnings I was getting but when I compile and run the application I get the following exception! Exception in thread "main" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no j3dcore-ogl in java.library.path at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadLibrary(ClassLoader.java:1681) at java.lang.Runtime.loadLibrary0(Runtime.java:840) at java.lang.System.loadLibrary(System.java:1047) at javax.media.j3d.NativePipeline$1.run(NativePipeline.java:231) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) at javax.media.j3d.NativePipeline.loadLibrary(NativePipeline.java:200) at javax.media.j3d.NativePipeline.loadLibraries(NativePipeline.java:157) at javax.media.j3d.MasterControl.loadLibraries(MasterControl.java:987) at javax.media.j3d.VirtualUniverse.

I can run the Helloworld included and it runs fine, so JAVA is installed correctly. The problem is with Java3D, I have installed it, but I do not think that the ClassPath is set correctly or something.I am trying to run the following Hello3d.java program and get the error that follows. Can anyone give me any idea of what to do to correct this? What commands should I run to verify Classpath and other settings? Code: import com.sun.j3d.utils.universe.SimpleUniverse; import com.sun.j3d.utils.geometry.ColorCube; import javax.media.j3d.BranchGroup; public class Hello3d { public Hello3d() { SimpleUniverse universe = new SimpleUniverse(); BranchGroup group = new BranchGroup(); group.addChild(new ColorCube(0.3)); universe.getViewingPlatform().setNominalViewingTransform(); universe.addBranchGraph(group); } public static void main( String[] args ) { new Hello3d(); } } // end of class Hello3d [OUTPUT] $ javac Hello3d.java Hello3d.java:1: package com.sun.j3d.utils.universe does not exist import com.sun.j3d.utils.universe.SimpleUniverse;

Or maybe you could give me a URL for gettingJava 1.5 working with Java3D.Hi!Have you re-installed Java 3D, too? I ask, because these are typical errormessages, if the compiler does not find the correponding java 3d classes.Java3d must be installed into the existing java directory - on your systemit seems to be /usr/java/jdk1.5.0_03.So first download java3d as a .bin file fromhttp://java.sun.com/products/java-media/3D/.Then change to your java directory and type ./path_to_file/name_of_file.bin.This installs java3d and everything should be fine.- Paul 1 Reply 34 Views Switch to linear view Disable enhanced parsing Permalink to this page Thread Navigation Andrew Neiderer 2005-05-23 13:59:40 UTC Paul Rhiem 2005-05-23 22:16:15 UTC about - legalese Loading...
