I keep getting this message:vlc-1.1.13-1.el6.rf.x86_64 requires libebml.so.2()(64bit)vlc-1.1.13-1.el6.rf.x86_64 requires libthreadutil.so.2()(64bit)vlc-1.1.13-1.el6.rf.x86_64 requires libmodplug.so.0()(64bit)vlc-1.1.13-1.el6.rf.x86_64 requires libmatroska.so.2()(64bit)gstreamer-plugins-bad-0.10.19-3.el6.rf.x86_64 requires libmodplug.so.0()(64bit)vlc-1.1.13-1.el6.rf.x86_64 requires libupnp.so.3()(64bit) : Success - empty transactionDo I have to install all the above? Why weren't they installed with VLC in the first place? For vlc I personally use nux-dextop which has vlc-2.0.10. That repo requires that you also install EPEL but I suspect that you already have that as the conflict you have now is commonly caused by overlapping packages from rpmforge and EPEL. Install keychecker from EPEL and use that to discover which packages you currently have installed from rpmforge. You will need to remove those and the rpmforge-release package, install nux-dextop and then install vlc from there. CentOS 5 dies in March 2017 - migrate soon!Full time Geek, part time moderator.
