How do i go about installing it and making both work? My comp seems to recognize the printer, but is not printing when i print test page or any other page. I have absolutely no clue with the scanner. Would appreciate any help. Thanks. (check e.g. dpkg -l | grep hplip) Your printer is not supported by older versions, so you might want to update, as described here: http://winunixmac.com/tips-and-trick...1050-on-ubuntu Not quite sure whether that will solve the scanning issue, try starting xsane after the hplip update and see what it comes up with. Debian 6.0.10 It fails when it tries to install the required dependencies... specifically starting with... of weeks ago I bought an HP MFP M127fw printer. All the basics seem to work fine but I noticed that it does not offer 2-sided printing, while my ancient HP 6P does. I tried to fix this by updating to the latest hplip driver but still do not have a option for 2-sided printing. There were some errors reported during the installation process and I am hoping fixing these errors will enable 2-sided printing. I have included the problematic portions of the install log below. hplip-install[2816]: info: : hplip-install[2816]: info: :[01mHP Linux Imaging and Printing System (ver. 3.15.4)[0m hplip-install[2816]: info: :[01mHPLIP Installer ver. 5.1[0m
