The current custom error settings for this application prevent the details of the application error from being viewed remotely (for security reasons). It could, however, be viewed by browsers running on the local server machine. Details: To enable the details of this specific error message to be viewable on remote machines, please https://forums.asp.net/t/1267844.aspx?Web+Config+customErrors+mode+Off+ create a tag within a "web.config" configuration file located in the root directory of the current web application. This tag should then have its "mode" attribute set to "Off". Notes: The current error page you are seeing can be replaced by a custom error page by modifying the "defaultRedirect" attribute of the application's configuration tag to point to a custom error page URL. I know this means to change the custom error mode as off, i also do the same code in my web.config but also return the same error, some time i change the mode into ON / Remoteonly but also return the same error, may i know this error from server or due to my code?, how to solve it ? memebrs help me Any doubts please feel free to ask me. you're not alone. It's surprisingly difficult to do this correctly, not helped by the fact that some http://benfoster.io/blog/aspnet-mvc-custom-error-pages errors are handled by ASP.NET and others by IIS. Ideally (and I expect such is the case with some other frameworks/servers) we would just configure our custom error pages in one place and it would just work, no matter how/where the error was raised. Something like: Custom 404 error pages When a resource does not exist (either static or dynamic) we should return a 404 HTTP status code. Ideally we should return something a little friendlier to our site visitors than the error pages built in to ASP.NET/IIS, perhaps offering some advice on why the resource may not error page web.config exist or providing an option to search the site. For the purposes of this blog post, my custom 404 page is very simple, but you can see some really nice examples here.

I created a new ASP.NET MVC 5 application using the standard template in Visual Studio. If I run the site and try to navigate to a resource that does not exist e.g. /foo/bar, I'll get the standard ASP.NET 404 page with the following information: Server Error in '/' Application. The resource cannot be found. Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly. Requested URL: /foo/bar Version Information: Microsoft .NET Framework Version:4.0.30319; ASP.NET Version:4.0.30319.33440 Not exactly friendly, is it? In thi
