You can clear the log files by doing the following: 1. During POST, press F2 to enter BIOS Setup Utility 2. Right-arrow to "Server" 3. Down-arrow to "Event Log Configuration", press enter 4. "Clear all Event Logs" is highlighted, press enter 5. Down-arrow to "Yes", press enter 6. Press F10 to Save and Exit 7. At "Save Configuration changes and exit now", select Yes, press enter. "Error (84FF): System event log full" The server may pause event log full at this error or continue to startup. RESOLUTION: This behavior is by design. The server continues to start normally and is not otherwise impacted. By default, the BIOS Setup Utility is configured to not pause on this error message. Note: Some server models overwrite the oldest events when the SEL becomes full. However, on the 9115 and 9210 servers, events are no longer logged when the log becomes full. The error code value identifies the error. Minor severity do not require user intervention or stop the booting of the system. Tritt diese Meldung auf, so ist das System Event Log voll und es können keine weiteren Einträge in das Log geschrieben werden. Betroffene Hardware Intel SR2500 Server mit S5000PAL Mainboard, potentiell auch andere Server von Intel Lösung Um die Fehlermeldung zu unterbinden und wieder Platz für neue Einträge im SEL zu schaffen muss der Inhalt des SEL gelöscht werden.
