Here's mine: You've either got a missing semicolon or parenthesis or curly brace somewhere (or some other delimiter or bracketing character) or there are DOS line endings (\r\n) where there should be Unix ones (\n). share|improve this answer answered Jan 31 '10 at 0:19 Dennis Williamson 41k866106 add a comment| up vote 3 down vote Long shot, but try adding AddHandler application/x-httpd-php .php to your apache configuration file. share|improve this answer answered Jan 31 '10 at 8:40 rytis 1,7321013 add a comment| up vote 2 down vote Try to see if your web server has something like this i.e in Apache: ScriptAlias /cgi-bin/

I put it in /usr/lib/cgi-bin/ as usual for cgi scripts. Then, when I visit it from a browser, the images it makes appears to be broken. I set the permissions to 777 temporarily for debugging purposes. I think Apache2 is trying to execute the png files as a script. How do I prevent that? Below are my configuration files. Thanks in advance! Oh. And I'm running as root. #tail /var/log/apache2/error.log [Sun Mar 01 06:13:05 2015] [error] [client 192.168.0.241] Premature end of script headers: tcp_services-25-6hr.png, referer: http://192.168.0.1/cgi-bin/tcp.cgi [Sun Mar 01 06:13:05 2015] [error] [client 192.168.0.241] Premature end of script headers: tcp_services-80-6hr.png, referer: http://192.168.0.1/cgi-bin/tcp.cgi [Sun Mar 01 06:13:05 2015] [error] [client 192.168.0.241] Premature end of script headers: tcp_services-22-6hr.png, referer: http://192.168.0.1/cgi-bin/tcp.cgi [Sun Mar 01 06:13:49 2015] [error] [client 192.168.0.241] (8)Exec format error: exec of '/usr/lib/cgi-bin/tcp_services-80-6hr.png' failed, referer: http://192.168 .0.1/cgi-bin/tcp.cgi [Sun Mar 01 06:13:49 2015] [error] [client 192.168.0.241] Premature end of script headers: tcp_services-80-6hr.png, referer: http://192.168.0.1/cgi-bin/tcp.cgi [Sun Mar 01 06:13:49 2015] [error] [client

The core of the program works fine, but there are some things I'd really like to do with it that will just make it look nicer. Which leads me to my question:I'm getting an error from Apache that looks like this;[code](8)Exec format error: exec of /var/www/cgi-bin/simpleMail/timerbar.js failedPremature end of script headers: /var/www/cgi-bin/simpleMail/timerbar.js[/code]The first part of the error message being returned from the web server really has me stumped since "it" isn't supposed to be executing this script in the manner in which it "appears" it's trying to. runtime execution for the timerbar.js script should be happening client side and handled by the browser, right? What I've got here is some emebedded HTML
