After booting in safe mode and running Maleware Bytes , Spybot S&D, and Dr Web Cure It, I cant seem to get it back to normal. When I try to run SD Fix it says Cannot load VDM IPX/SPX support but finishes the scan, although when it trys to reboot to finish the scan it cant because its not in safe mode and crashes partway through. Spybot and the other programs come up clean when I run a scan. DrWeb Cure It found issues and removed most of them except for - installer.exe\data005 and A0106957\data005 - it says cannot delete Write ProtectedThe blue screen reads STOP : c000021a {Fatal System Error}The Windows Subsystem system process terminated unexpectedly

Stop Code: c000021a status of 0xc0000005 Started by nativetexan2 , Jun 16 2012 01:20 PM Please log in to reply #1 nativetexan2 Posted 16 June 2012 - 01:20 PM nativetexan2 Member Member 48 posts My daughter has a Dell Latitude D620 laptop running XP Professional. She got the BSOD a couple of weeks ago and was able to recover the last restore point. This time she got stop code c000021a (fatal system error)with a status of 0.c0000005 (0.00000000 0.00000000) I was able to run the Dell diagnostics from F12 and got a "DST Short test failed Status Error code 1000-0146" Can anyone help? 0 Advertisements #2 Macboatmaster Posted 16 June 2012 - 01:45 PM Macboatmaster 7k Member 7,237 posts The stop error means this The STOP 0xC000021A error occurs when either Winlogon.exe or Csrss.exe fails. When the Windows NT kernel detects that either of these processes has stopped, it stops the system and raises the STOP 0xC000021A error. The DST - Drive Self Test means that it has failed the test and has previosly recorded errors as well. My guess is that the hard drive has bad sectors and is in need of replacement You may be able to get your data, if you are interested in doing so, presuming that it will now not load windows Let me know if you wish to try, you should do this FIRST if there is data ie docs images etc that you want. 0 #3 nativetexan2 Posted 16 June 2012 - 02:21 PM nativetexan2 Member Topic Starter Member 48 posts Yes, this is her school computer and I would like to try to recover and save any
