So because of this I started cleaning it up by uninstalling old programs. However somewhere during the process I received a pop-up from windows saying new updates were installed and I should restart my pc. I did, but now it's no fatal system longer starting up. Just before the log in screen it gets interrupted by a BSOD reading the message: STOP: c000021a (Fatal System Error) The Windows logon Process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000135 (0x00000000 0x00000000) The system had been shut down. I tried restarting in all modes available, but all with the same error. Resetting the bios to default didn't work either. In fact I don't mind if I have to reinstal fatal system error windows (still have the cd and serial), but I do would like to recover my serials from Office and Nero Burning rom (lost those somewhere.....). Any ideas how I can make this work? Thanks a lot!!!! -Sliver Sliver90, Apr 8, 2011 #1 Sponsor Phantom010 Trusted Advisor Joined: Mar 9, 2009 Messages: 34,572 http://support.microsoft.com/kb/317189/en-us http://support.microsoft.com/kb/156669/en-us Phantom010, Apr 8, 2011 #2 Sliver90 Thread Starter Joined: Apr 8, 2011 Messages: 6 Thanks for the answer! I read through the entire parallel installation process and I should be able to make that happen. However, I do have a question about it: NOTE: If you need to install an additional SCSI driver, refer to the following Microsoft Knowledge Base article for the steps on installing an additional driver during Setup: 158568 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/158568/EN-US/ ) Installing Retired or Third-Party SCSI Drivers During Setup --> I have no idea how I should find out wether that is the case or not....
