Windows XP BSOD at startup! (problem now solved!) Tags: Windows Defender Blue Screen Windows XP Last response: 21 February 2013 23:47 in Windows XP Share Mr Burns 25 January 2013 16:25:54 Hi all. I am fairly new to this site. Saga Lout was very helpful answering my last 2 problems. Thought I'd post here again to see if anyone could help. Well I ran windows defender offline and it found a threat which I quarentined. When I booted up into windows again I got a BSOD. I went for a week asking and searching about windows defender causing this bsod, you can view my question about this here: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/window... However windows defender WASN't causing the bsod b'cos when I restored the threat I still got it. It just must have been coincidence that I got bsod after quarentining a threat. Since then I've done a quick scan on malwarebytes and it found some threats which I quarentined. The BSOD message I got was this: STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Windows Logon Process System Process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000135 {0x00000000} (0x00000000). The system has been shut down. I've never got this message before and I don't kknow whats caused it. Certainely not windows defender removing a threat. Whats going on??????? Please view this youtube video for more info: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2iyeSoMeymA I've also uploaded event logs here: one of system: http://www.mediafire.com/?oqseng1cl7gcz9b And one of application: http://www.mediafire.com/?di3dksn3hzny3kd BTW, system restore doesn't work, calender is just blank, watch y'tube vid for more info. VEry greatful for any help.
