Jeff Hughes (PubSec) // 26 Comments 0 0 0 In this blog we are going to discuss about how we can decode and fix operating system crashes with Stop c000021a. Below is the first screen you will see after POST, followed by the bugcheck information. Here is the detail bugcheck information: The session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000003a(0x00000000,0x00000000) The second parameter “0xc000003a” resolves to “STATUS_OBJECT_PATH_NOT_FOUND”. The first reboot after bugcheck you may not be able to get Advanced Boot Options when you press F8 and may only get Windows Error Recovery screen, as seen below. In such scenarios there is no crash memory Dump generated. Next thing we need to do is launch Startup Repair from Window Recovery Environment (WinRE). If you do not have WinRE installed on the machine you can boot from either Windows Server 2008/R2/Windows 7 boot disc. Once booted into WinRE launch Command prompt and open regedit Highlight HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE Click on File & Load hive Note: Whenever you are booting into WinRE you are actually booted into a RAMDRIVE. When opening registry editor you are seeing the hives from RAMDRIVE and NOT from installed Windows. Make sure you a
are steps describing how I used Knoppix Linux to fix the dreaded Windows XP ‘Error Message: Stop c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Session Manager Initialization System Process…' failure. This morning, when I powered-up my computer at work, my Windows XP-based computer booted blue, stop c000021a 0xc000003a noting a file error which in turn kicked off an automatic chkdsk scan/fix of my c000021a fatal system error windows 7 hard drive. I got some coffee and used my smart phone to address email while all this was going on. When the system

was done "fixing" the broken files, it rebooted to something I'd never seen before - a blue screen of death with the following ubiquitous message: Stop: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly https://blogs.technet.microsoft.com/askcore/2011/08/09/operating-system-comes-up-with-blue-screen-error-stop-c000021a/ with a status of 0xc000026c (0×00000000 0×00000000). The system has been shut down. After a few bouts with the on/off switch, it was clear, I was dead in the water. I walked down the hall to visit the IT guys, together we brought up the Microsoft Knowledgebase file #317189 entitled "Error Message: Stop c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Session Manager Initialization System Process…" It had fun advice like installing Dr.Watson, running a memory dump and then sifting http://healyourchurchwebsite.com/2008/03/14/how-i-fixed-my-stop-c000021a-fatal-system-error-with-knoppix/ through the disassembled 0′s and 1′s to figure out what broke. Of course one's machine would have to boot before that byzantine process was possible - a minor point not considered in said documentation. There were some other things about registry files, but again, I can't get to the the C:\> command line prompt then it doesn't do me much good. I did find on the Messenger Plus! Live Forums advice to run the Windows repair and replace my psapi.dll file with an older version, but again, that'd require getting onto the hard drive - and the only way I knew how to do that at this juncture would be take a route similar to the one I wrote about in 2003 in my post entitled:'Linux-based approach to fixing MSBlaster Worm infection.' So after digging through a few drawers and CD stacks, I found a Knoppix CD I had ‘burninated' back in October for my blogging-tour of Jordan. For those of you who don't know, Knoppix is a Linux distribution based on Debian GNU/Linux designed to be run directly from a CD / DVD. So I popped the Knoppix disk into the CD drive, turned on the power switch and within minutes, my machine was back up and running under Windows XP; though part of me wonders if there's not an Ubuntu install in store for my aging hom

NissanGTR December 9, fatal system error 2011 Facebook Twitter Pinterest Stumbleupon Whatsapp Email This problem stared last night when my brother removed the PC power cable from the wall socket in a haste to turn off the computer. I get the following error when i try to boot into Windows XP. "STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The session manager initialization system process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000026c (0x00000000 0x00000000) The system has been shut down." It gets to the "windows xp..loading" part fine, but then it displays this message. I have tried booting into all safe modes, last known config that worked…debug mode… but I got the same result. Is there anyway I can fix this problem without having to format my PC? I can still run Windows 7 (and access win xp's C: drive) just fine so I can use that in case a corrupt file is to be replaced. I have looked around the internet and all I find are methods where you have to boot into XP and install a software. Which is not possible in my case because I can't even get to the login screen. come across the error message below in a Windows XP computer then it’s an indicator of a corrupted or missing system file, win32k.sys. The STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Session Manager Initialization System process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc000026c (0x000000000 0x000000000) The STOP: c000021a {Fatal System Error} The Session Manager Initialization System process terminated unexpectedly with a status of 0xc0000034 (0x000000000 0x000000000) The first error message indicates the system file has been corrupted while the second one suggests a missing file. Either way, you will have to replace the file in order to get the system back and running. The main tool required for this repair is a genuine Windows XP installation CD. Firstly, you need to boot up using the disc. Make sure your boot sequence is selected to CDROM first and then the others. The installation window will load and once complete choose the option to load the XP Recovery Console. This is done by pressing R on the keyboard. In the console, you will be asked to choose which windows to load; the usual option would be 1. However, that will depend on your installation. You will also be asked to enter the administrator password. Once you've entered the right password and in windows, type the following command to copy and replace the corrupted or missing win32k.sys file. copy c:windowssystem32dllcachewin32k.sys c:windowssystem32 Windows usually keeps a backup of critical system files on the installation drive in the dllcache folder (C:WindowsSystem32DLLCache). You will now be asked if you want to overwrite an existing file (if it’s only corrupted), input Y and enter. However, if the file is missing then no messages will appear. When the copying is done, remove the disc and type “exit” to reboot the system. You windows should now be able to load normally. However, if the problem persists then troubleshoot further using Microsoft’s guide http://support.microsoft.com/kb/156669 Related articles across the web How to fix corrupt system files on Windows XP, Vista, 7, and 8 for free [Guide] Without XP Support and Disappointed with Windows 8.1, Users Still Looking Forward to Windows 9 How to keep receiving Window
