been deleted." Cause Notes client temporary files are being inadvertently removed from the system running the Notes client. The (CalendarProfile) does in fact exist in the mail database. In some cases, anti-virus software has been implicated in deleting such files. The files have an extension .nsf file missing in lotus notes of .DTF See http://www.symantec.com/connect/forums/sep-detects-dtf-files-virus as an example. Resolving the problem A restart of the Notes client will typically resolve this problem. Upgrading to the latest version of anti-virus software is also recommended. Configuring the anti-virus software to exclude files with an extension of .DTF can prevent this problem from happening. Setting NOTES_TEMPDIR in the client's notes.ini file to a directory that is specifically used for storing such files can also help to prevent this problem. For Example: NOTES_TEMPDIR=c:\NotesTemporaryFiles Document information More support for: IBM Notes Calendaring and Scheduling Software version: 8.0.2, 8.5.2, 8.5.3 Operating system(s): Windows, iOS Software edition: Standard Reference #: 1605814 Modified date: 13 October 2013 Site availability Site assistance Contact and feedback Need support? Sometimes this information becomes corrupted, resulting in such an error. You can use tools like "notespeek" or Ytria ScanEZ to check the content of the field and fix it. Each entry looks like this consisting of display name, Type, User name, icon, background color, foreground color and some flags: Micky Maus/Certifier'notesCalendar:Micky Maus/Certifier:0:null'calendar gray.png'{206,212,225}'{57,87,122}'1 To reset the entries (if you can't fix it with code) you can use this code in an agent or action button

Posted on 2005-06-29 Lotus IBM 1 Verified Solution 10 Comments 10,088 Views Last Modified: 2013-12-18 In a notes 6.5 client when you go to Tools -> Preferences an error is returned as follows. Availability time range is invalid, please correct. Then the following comes up twice. Cannot Locate Field. I found a Lotus support document http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?rs=899&context=SSKTWP&dc=DB510&dc=DB520&dc=D800&dc=D900&dc=DA900&dc=DA800&dc=DB530&dc=DA600&dc=DB550&dc=D100&dc=D600&dc=D700&dc=DA500&dc=D200&dc=DA410&dc=DA450&dc=DA430&dc=DA440&q1=time+range+is+invalid&uid=swg21164501 Which says Problem From his/her mail file, a customer selects Actions --> Tools --> Preferences and the following error message appears: "Availability Problem Your availability time range is invalid, please correct." When the customer selects OK, the error "Notes Error - Cannot locate field" occurs. The same error occurs again after clicking OK a second time. Solution In this customer's case the Calendar profile was corrupt. The time range should be respected; this means that 24 hours should be 09:00 - 17:00 format ,and 12 hours should be 09:00 AM to 05:00 PM format. The Calendar profile must be deleted or reset in order to fix this issue. The customer deleted the Calendar profile and this resolved the issue. To delete the Calendar profile the customer used the script below: Sub Click(Source As Button) Dim session As New NotesSession Dim db As notesDatabase Set db=session.CurrentDatabase Set profile=db.GetProfileDocument("CalendarProfile") Call Profile.Remove(True) End Sub To reset the Calendar profile do the following: 1. Select Actions -> Tools ->
