A few months ago we discussed an issue where Gmail might occasionally (or if you are really unlucky, constantly) cough up an "Oops…" error when you try to sign in, or gmail error codes even when doing something like sending an email. Google doesn't really have any way forGmail Error Messages
its users to contact them directly, so they hope that, if they keep their reference guides and support sites as current as possible,
Gmail Unable To Display Full Message
their users will be able to help themselves. In most cases users do in fact find the information they are looking for. This seems to be the case with our error #102, between the time we reported

the issue happening and now, Google included it in their handy troubleshooting tool. There are other ways you can get to parts of this page, but I recommend bookmarking the link because most Gmail questions and problems are listed here in a very logical fashion. For example, let's find oops error #102. Go to Signing In and Loading > I get an error when I try to sign in > Oops > and the not able to display full message. you can view it by clicking here gmail 102 radio button. At this point, Google will give you a couple of tips.. first, try logging in through HTTPS (a secure connection), and they have the link https://mail.google.com. Or, try logging in using the older version of Google Mail. If you are able to log in, you can switch to the older version by clicking the link in the upper-right-hand corner of the main Gmail window. However, if you can't log in, they provide a handy link for that too: http://mail.google.com/mail/?ui=1. That is just one of the areas where this troubleshooting page will come in helpful. So bookmark it, and use it as your first stop if you run in to any other Gmail errors. Don't miss another post! Subscribe by RSS feed or by email today! Share this post! 3 comments, add yours! the system was unable to perform your operation" By arungupta on Dec 12, 2006 For the past few days, I've been getting the following popup when I open Gmail account in my Firefox 2.0.
After I click this irritating error box 13 times (it's always that exact number) then the box disappears and I can view all my emails correctly. I get this similar error on IE 7 as well but there it disappears in 2 times only. I tried different browsers, cleared cookies, different machines, different operating systems but in vain. Other friends were able to access the account just fine so I was wondering. Finally, I googled the error code and found the solution at Gmail Help Center. Basically, the solution is to access the account through secured interface available at https://mail.google.com. Now, I could not find any explanation of the problem but the proposed solution indeed got rid of the popup.
