giving you an error when downloading/installing/purchasing new apps, here's a simple way to reset Play Store data and make it work again. Some error messages you might be getting are like, "Unfortunately, Google Play Store has stopped.", "Error processing purchase", or similar error messages. So, let's try fixing it by clearing data in Application Settings. Step 1. Go to Settings and go to either "Application manager" or "Apps". This may differ slightly depending on the type of Android smartphone/tablet you have. Step 2. Select the "ALL" tab and find "Google Play Store". Step 3. Press on "Clear data", "Clear cache", then "Force stop", in that order. Step 4. Open Play Store and you should be welcomed with Google Play terms of service pop-up window. After that your Play Store should work nicely. This will work on pretty much any Android device, for both rooted and not rooted.

So Google/Android says to clear cache/data from the Play market and restart your phone and try it again. Did this, but now Maps, along with about 10 other apps don't even show up in my market...this used to happen on my old HTC Hero, and I would just uninstall an app, and reinstall it and the apps would come back...but thats not working this time, any ideas?! If I manually go to Google Maps in the search and try to download the update, it says something about "your order is being processed, this may take a few minutes"... It wasn't working right so I uninstalled it. When trying to reinstall it, I received the same error message. I end up doing a factory reset. I did a battery pull first but that didn't work. Hope you find a way to fix it. I contacted support, and they actually got back to me. I get the sense that the tech is genuinely trying to be helpful, but I don't think they really know what's going on any more than we do. FWIW, here's what he suggested (which didn't work). I have the same version of Play as on my phone, which has no problems. In fa
