The Officejet 4200 is typically used by small and home-based businesses that wish to reduce clutter by using an all-in-one machine. If your machine starts to malfunction, you can perform some troubleshooting in order to figure out the cause of hp printer the problem on your own. Check the status of your printer. On your Task Tray at the bottom of your screen, you will see an icon for your HP Officejet 4200. Right-click on the icon in order to view the status of the printer. If there's a problem, an error message will pop up on screen and typically provide instructions on how to resolve the issue. Inspect all hp printer cartridge cables for your HP Officejet 4200. Make sure the printer is plugged into a working outlet and that the USB cable from the printer is connected to your computer's hard drive. If you are trying to fax, your printer must be connected to a telephone wall jack. Clean and align the HP Officejet 4200 ink cartridges.
