out of this dead end?!Thank you in advance !Regards,Dan Replies DanBread Replied 15 Nov 2006 13:57:51 Hello There, Did you find a solution to this problem in the end? I only ask as I am having the exact same problem. It is so damned frustrating, spent the past 2 days trauling google and various forums and there seem to be so many conflicting instructions. I am using xampp by the way and the only thing that I see that seems to be wrong
Dreamweaver Mysql Connection Error 404
is in the MinMySQLAdmin window, where under Environment, the MyODBC panel simply says "Not found. Driver 3.51 not found."Christ almighty! I have searched google for a solution to this and as to whether it is even relevent to what I am trying to do (connect to the mysql database in Dreamweaver for a login page for my website) and can never seem to find a straightforward answer to the problem.Any help would be seriously appreciated - for example the information that I have/should have typed into the site definition. Also, why does xampp come with both MySQL and Apache - aren't they both servers?Cheers,Dan AlanC Replied 20 Nov 2006 05:30:20 404 means that the page was not found on the server. That suggests that either it's not been uploaded or there is a link not pointing to the correct placetry looking at the DW view that shows your local site on the right and the server on the left (expand to show - it's like a square in the files panel) from that you should be able to see where your files areanother possible thing to check is that your server does have the database facility, you might have to set the database up in advance and alocate users and passwords first. If your hosting package uses the cpanel control panel you should be able to see the databases fairly quicklybtw my experience is with php and mysql so if it's asp I will not have a clue

I have 2 databases connected through dreamweaver but now I get errors. I don't know what changed. What I do know is that the MMHTTPDB.php file is not in the testing server or remote server at all. When I first connected through dreamweaver to see the tables (maybe 20 minutes ago) I got in, but then I went to add an area to the CMS and I can't get into anything anymore. Even if I put "w" for the username and password, it gives me the 404. So it doesn't even get to the point of trying the login. The _mmServerScripts folder has 777 permissions. I even found a copy of the file and uploaded it myself and my testing server deletes it...but leaves the main _mmServerScripts folder there.Remote:root dir: /public_html/web url: http://www.williamsportwomenstennisleague.com/connection: FTP(co

I used mamp on mac to communicate with mysql. But when I try to build database connection with my sql, I got this error: HTTP Error Code 404 File Not Found. Here are some possible reasons for the problem: 1) There is no testing server running on the server machine. 2) The testing server http error code specified for this site does not map to the "http://localhost/LabelSite/_mmServerScripts/MMHTTPDB.php URL."Verify that the URL Prefix maps to the root of the site. I googled and try a bunch of ways but none of them work. Here is what I've already tried: 1)copying MMHTTPDB.php and mysql.php to /Applications/MAMP/htdocs/LabelSite/_mmServerScripts 2)changing the web url to "http://localhost/8888/LabelSite" But none of them worked Here is how I set my site by dreamweaver: I did select server model to be "PHP MYSQL" on the advanced tag of Servers Any advice would be appreciated, thanks! mysql dreamweaver share|improve this question asked Oct 21 '14 at 5:27 Demonedge 407315 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 1 down vote I solved this by changing Web Url in the site's testing servers to "http://localhost:8888/LabelSite/" Now I get rid of the error! share|improve this answer answered Oct 21 '14 at 15:37 Demonedge 407315 In the HTTP URI scheme the protocol can be defined after the host name part, separated with a :, and not with a / as you have figured it out. –Daniel Dinnyes Oct 21 '14 at 15:48 Yes, thank you! –Demonedge Nov 18 '14 at 9:20 ad
