Unfortunately I get a 12044 - Client https://www.experts-exchange.com/questions/26258565/WinHttp-Which-SSL-client-cert-to-use-error-12044-C.html Certificate needed. I'm working on Win XP SP 3. I'm not sure how to select the correct client cert for the SSL. I found the sample code for CertFindCertificateInStore below but it's not returning a valid certificate. Any ideas? Thanks! #include
Sep 15, 2010 @ 07:48am Reply Hi:We are still using WW Client Tools that came installed with Web Connect https://support.west-wind.com/Message3140T7J56.wwt ver 4.5--including using VFP 7.0.I'm trying to consume a HTTPS web https://softwaresupport.hpe.com/kb/KM00386819 service from one of our clients that has published a HTTPS web service. For example here is a test of trying a proof of concept:lcWSDL = "E:\Client\WSDL\esbdev_ClientGetAwardInfo.wsdl"loSOAP = CREATEOBJECT("wwSOAP")loSOAP.ParseServiceWSDL(lcWSDL)loSOAP.AddParameter("STATUS","1","xsd:string")loSOAP.AddParameter("AWARD_SHORT_NAME","2","xsd:string")loSOAP.AddParameter("AWARD_FULL_NAME","3","xsd:string")loSOAP.AddParameter("START_DATE_ACTIVE","4","xsd:string")loSOAP.AddParameter("END_DATE_ACTIVE","5","xsd:string")loSOAP.AddParameter("CLOSE_DATE","6","xsd:string")lcXML=loSOAP.CallWSDLMethod("getAwardInfo")IF loSOAP.lError = MESSAGEBOX(loSoap.cErrorMsg+ " ERROR # ["+ALLTRIM(STR(loSoap.oHttp.nerror))+"]") RETURNENDIFyour codeThe error message is: A certificate is required to complete http error client authentication ERROR # 12044We do have WC version 5.52 and I noticed that there is code in wwHTTP to check for error 12044. However, we cannot use this version in our application at this time due to constraint of using VFP 7. Therefore, what I'm doing right now is attempting to modify wwHTTP for VFP 7 to check windows error code for the certificate.I added the following code to our wwHTTP class to see if I can see the list of certs:DECLARE integer InternetErrorDlg IN WinInet.dll ; integer hWindow,; integer hInternet,; integer hRequest,; integer uiflags,; String lppvData lnResult = InternetErrorDlg(_Screen.HWnd,hHttpResult,12044,0x04 + 0x01 + 0x02,null)The dialog shows up, but it's empty. Our client sent us a certificate, and I installed it by right-clicking the cert and selecting install--no errors were display after the install. My question is why does the cert dialog show empty? I'm trying this on a Citrix server, so I don't know if that may have an influence on the results. Thanks for any help!--Paul BorowiczNTM Consulting Re: wwHTTP error code: 12044 A certificate is required Mark M Paul Borowicz 3140J9KEE Sep 15, 2010 @ 08:59am Reply We did something similar. To get ours to work, the certificate has to be attached to the web request. Not sure how this works using WW tools, but C# code is something like this:HttpWebRequest req = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create( theUrl );X509Certificate certificate = new X509Certificate2( cert info );r
