For starters, I'd check to make sure you're running php5. I'd imagine you probably are, but an incompatible version of php is a common source of that problem. I'm assuming the error is just the "HTTP error" when you're trying the upload? when trying to upload certain images. [Resolved] HTTP Error when trying to upload certain images. ecgull207 @ecgull207 2 months, 3 weeks ago This may be an issue with WordPress itself, but I get and HTTP error when trying to upload certain images. I spent over an hour on the phone with GoDaddy customer support since WordPress' support line is a dead end with nobody on the other end. I tried uploading through an FTP client and it still wouldn't work. He came to the conclusion that it just doesn't like those particular images for some reason (I tried changing dimensions, resolution, file type, etc to no avail) or it was an issue with my theme of plugins. I disabled my plugins and changed my theme and was able to upload SOME of https://www.godaddy.com/community/Managing-WordPress/HTTP-error-uploading-pictures-to-wordpress/td-p/3193 the images, but others still get an HTTP error (I activated the plugins again and changed the theme back and there seems to be no issue with the images I was able to upload after deactivating the plugins and changing the theme so I don't think that is the issue) however the color looks off on these images upon upload and on some the color became posterized and all out of whack. Help ASAP would be appreciated. Need to find https://wordpress.org/support/topic/http-error-when-trying-to-upload-certain-images/ an internship within the next couple of weeks so my site has to look polished. Thanks. It is not listed on the right with the other php files. ecgull207 @ecgull207 2 months, 3 weeks ago Never mind I found it. ecgull207 @ecgull207 2 months, 3 weeks ago Wow it worked thanks a ton! Been trying to figure this out forever! Although the colors are still off and the other images are still posterized. Joey Ricketts @jricketts4 2 months, 3 weeks ago Sorry, I didn't see your posts until now. I'm glad that that worked. Is the color off on the one you have posted since adding that bit of code? Only reason I ask is to see if it would help to delete and reupload one to see if it reverts it back to normal color. And what extension are you using for the images? (jpg, pdf, et
while Uploading Media [Resolved] HTTP Error while Uploading Media rikk555 @rikk555 1 year ago Hi, I am currently experiencing an error when I attempt to upload an image to my WordPress site. After an upload attempt I consistently receive an HTTP Error and end up with a blank/broken image. I https://wordpress.org/support/topic/http-error-while-uploading-media-2/ am quite new to WordPress, this is my first ever website and it's only been about a week since I registered it! The domain is: "www.competaid.com". This error cropped up last night. While uploading two different images for my first post I received this error a few times, but after trying 3 or 4 times the images eventually uploaded successfully. The error became consistent when trying to upload a 17.2MB texture to replace my current body background. I http error did not make any major changes to my website between the events described so I don't know what could have went wrong! I have tried: 1) Uploading a different (smaller) image 2) Flushing cache 3) Clearing browser's cache, cookies, etc… 4) Deactivating all plugins. Note: My maximum upload size is 64MB so that shouldn't be a problem. Also, my WordPress, plugins, theme, etc… are all the latest versions. Provide 777 permission for those folders. If this does not solve your problem then try de-activating your plugin one by one & see if it works. Sometimes plugin causes this sort of problem. Hope that helps! rikk555 @rikk555 1 year ago Thanks! Solved my problem! 😀 Emmygrandm @emmygrandm 12 months ago Can we know how you solve this problem please? I get the same problem, error http when i try uploading an image with the regular tool. First, I deactivated and reactivated all plugins, the regular browser methods work to upload file, but the new one, for multiple images doesn't. I have no idea why. I can add an image on the personalisation. I look at my files permissions, nothings wrong. Try to give them all permissions, 777, stil not working. Im totally lost, for all my other sites everything is right and the se
