Re: HTTP Error 12029 David C Johnson Aug 21, 2008 7:00 AM (in response to Newsgroup_User) I had the same problem testing the "URL Prefix" for a Site Definition (HTTP 12029) of a PHP site. This troubled me for about 5 hours until I thought to check my firewall logs. I have some "free" plugins from WebAssist installed and didn't like the way Dreamweaver started "phoning home" to WebAssist via TCP, so I had TCP outbound blocked for Dreamweaver. After adding a specific firewall rule to allow Dreamweaver to TCP/Outbound/Host=MyApplicationServer/Port=Any, HTTP 12029 went away. AND the firewall is still blocking the unsavory phone-homes to WebAssist. (Come on WebAssist, even though the plugins are free, that doesn't make it right for you to track my trips to the bathroom!) Accessing localhost brings up XAMPP main page & allows access to phpinfo() to create & modify MySQL tables. this shows apache/php/mysql are working fine. My problem is that using dreamweaver to set up a testing site fails..
