HTTP Error 400 Started by FairyDave, September 4, 2010 2 posts in this topic FairyDave 0 Newbie Members 0 2 posts Posted September 4, 2010 · Report post Hi all,I found several threads (here and elsewhere) mentioning "HTTP Error 400" when trying to use the internal tracker after running into the problem myself. Couldn't find any fixes mentionted and was trying out different things. Eventually, out of sheer desperation, I used the WebUI port instead of the connection port and everything just started working. Hope this can help other peopleCheers,Dave
 Ultima 7 Advanced Member µTorrent Helper 7 27,924 posts Posted September 4, 2010 · Report post bt.enable_tracker: Enabling this option enables the rudimentary tracker embedded in µTorrent. If you wish to use this tracker, the URL is located at http://IP:port/announce, where IP is your WAN IP address, and port is the port µTorrent is listening on (or the alternative listening port if set and enabled). If you use a dynamic DNS service, your domain may be used instead of your IP address. The embedded tracker allows tracking of external .torrent files, and provides no way to limit them. There is no interface for viewing the .torrent files that are tracked. It is imperative that µTorrent is able to listen for incoming connections for this feature to work properly, so you have to make sure you have completely forwarded your ports in order to use the embedded tracker. Upgrade Wine - be sure to use the one from the Wine HQ repo (http://www.winehq.org/download/deb).. Upgrading to the current on WineHQ fixed all of my issues with uTorrent. Works perfectly now! Apr 2008Posts: 1 Posted: Tue Apr 08, 2008 7:58 pm Post subject: Proxy error: Error code: HTTP 400 (utorrent) Greedytorrent used to work well with all trackers. I was using it http://forum.greedytorrent.com/about709.html with utorrent version 1.7.4 I registerd to a torrentsite which didnt allow this version, so i downgraded to version 1.6.1 build 489. I was actually looking for build 490, but installed it anyway. http://forum.deluge-torrent.org/viewtopic.php?t=35021 Everything still worked perfect. Than i found utorrent 1.6.1 build 490 so i installed that. This is when the problems started. Everytime and with every tracker i get the "Proxy error: Error http error code: HTTP 400" I havent changed any of my settings in utorrent or greedytorrent. So i decided to go back to utorrent 1.6.1 build 489 which worked previously, but this version also didnt work. I even went back to version 1.7.4 but to no avail. What could be the problem here, as i said i didnt change any of the settings. I also tried http error 400 the newest version of azureus with greedytorrent and with the same settings as im using in utorrent. In azureus everything works ok. But i dont like azureus, i want utorrent Back to top lilgeeekJoined: 23 Mar 2007Posts: 86 Posted: Tue Apr 22, 2008 10:45 am Post subject: Everytime this happens, try working with another tracker instead of banging the same tracker with more updates. Try some well working tracker like bittorrent.com, which is not under severe load and is available all the time. If it still doesn't update, please get back to the community and we'll try to find more about it.
