Use HTTPS. Since BASIC auth is send in cleartext, make sure the communications are encrypted. 2. While I've not kept up on BB devices, it was pretty common for BB browsers to request the MOBILE pages. The default mobile pages SUCK. You may need to reconfigure SP based on several options - disable the mobile pages, adjust the mobile pages, or rebuild templates to support BB... this MAY not be required - as I said, I've not kept up on BB devices and their capabilities.Scott Brickey MCTS, MCPD, MCITP www.sbrickey.com Strategic Data Systems - for all your SharePoint needs Marked as answer by JasonGuoMicrosoft contingent staff Friday, March 28, 2014 9:30 AM Tuesday, March 18, 2014 2:21 PM Reply | Quote Microsoft is conducting an online survey to understand your opinion of the Technet Web site. All sales agents have a Blackberry device, but none can access our Extranet. In IIS, we only have ASP.NET Impersonation and Windows Authentication enabled, but the BB device doesnt even prompt for credentials, it just receives a 401 error. Needless to say, the site is browsable on other devices (PC, tablet, iPhone..), so it seems to be something specific to BB settings - or thats my inclination. Anyone http://stackoverflow.com/questions/13297154/401-error-on-blackberry-device have any thoughts on how I can troubleshoot\resolve? I should add.. I downloaded the BlackBerry emulator for my PC, and that too has the same issue, so I dont think it's a BlackBerry service setting.. but something with how the device is attempting to connect\authenticate. iis blackberry sharepoint-2010 share|improve this question asked Nov 8 '12 at 20:21 ewitkows 1,67622243 add a comment| 1 Answer 1 active oldest votes up vote 2 down vote accepted OK, found the answer (apparently the Google machine is running much better today than it was yesterday ;) Blackberry doesnt support Windows Authentication since the browser is too old. I had to turn on Basic Authentication, which isnt recommended unless your running over SSL.. which fortunately I am. sight from a blackberry or ipod ? the authentication on hosted sites seems to prevent access Hi Steve, I am afraid Blackberry is not officially supported by Microsoft, see Mobile browsers and devices that are supported in Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and in SharePoint Server 2007 (http://support.microsoft.com/KB/930147) for more information. I have never configured Blackberry integration with SharePoint. Therefore, I Bing the key word “SharePoint NTLM blackberry” and it look there are lots of issue on this. If possible, I suggest you to configure your site using forms based authentication and see if it is helpful. These are some links and 3rd party software may help for your information. http://sp.meetdux.com/archive/2008/06/26/mission-possible-blackberry-+-sharepoint.aspx http://weblogs.asp.net/andresv/archive/2008/06/07/add-blackberry-support-to-forms-server-2007-or-sharepoint-2007.aspx http://www.softartisans.com/mobileconnect-beta.html http://www.wicksoft.com/ About the host SharePoint service, it seems that SharePoint online provide a solution, see Solutions for BlackBerry Devices (http://www.microsoft.com/online/mobility/blackberry.mspx) for more information.
