as I cant get phpmyadmin to work) im up to 3:47 in the video.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nJxri1OVul0&feature=player_embeddednow when I go to localhost/www I get the following error message; "HTTP Error 403.14 - Forbidden The Web server is configured to not list the contents of this directory."I have googled and searched and the only thing I can find is to 'enable' directory browsing in the IIS Manger. I have done this, but now the localhost/www give me an index of the files, and does not display the WorkPress Setup-Config page as per 3:47 in the video....Please can anyone help me, im really stuck... :-sTrying to get this working on my dedicated server running Win Server 2008 R2.Thank you :) Tristan Rineer: Have you tried "localhost/www/wordpress"? If you extracted the entire zip with the wordpress folder included, then you most likely copied it over into the wrong place.Using a Windows server doesn't help the situation any - Windows servers are fine for network fileservers, but they make terrible webservers; Unix or Linux based servers are the only good options for web hosting. Also: No duplicate posts please. I've deleted the duplicate that you posted the the board for Basics, as difficulty with the basic WP install process is not a theme related issue. panda1337: resolved. gave up trying to host this on my dedicated server and went with a hosting plan with godaddy :) Navigation [0] Message Index
