but wait a minute, the Manager page is not accessible after rebooting http 404. the resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed machine. Since I'm a .NET developer, it sounds familiar to me. The solution was re-enabling .NET 2.0 for IIS make sure that no custom filters or modules restrict access to the file that you want to browse. like below: aspnet_regiis.exe -i -enable The comments section of the documentation page says, 9 out of 10 this will work and I agree with it. Iis Error Code 0x80070002
says: April 16, 2011 at 7:33 pm I must say thank you! I experienced a strange thing with my internet server. Last night (15.4), everything worked fine. Then this morning, none of my webadf based clients work, I can not get contact with my wms capabilities files (from internet) and on the server, the manager and the servicies directories wont show. All I get is Error 404! I tried to restart the server, the ArgGISSOM, my IIS, nothing worked (I have an arcGISserver10 installation with servicepack1). I could see arcgisserver was running, I could access it through ArcGISdesktop on the local server. Then I tried the commando suggested her and VOILA! The clients worked again! Thank you so much! I didnt put the filename as index.php. My next question is, does it only read index.php to run, how about if i want to name my file as other? What/which/where is the setting that I can set so that it would not only run/read from index.php? Reply don.raman 1204 Posts MicrosoftModerator Re: PHP error - HTTP Error 404.0 - Not Found Apr 09, 2010 12:16 AM|don.raman|LINK Hi, IIS has gotconcept of default document which can be registered. Learn more about it at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc753615(WS.10).aspx. Since you used WPI to install PHP, it added index.php as default document. This means if you have a file named index.php in the folder C:\inetpub\wwwroot, you ca
project using Visual Studio 2005 and the EPiServer CMS SDK. I've created a master page, a template http://world.episerver.com/Forum/Developer-forum/EPiServer-CMS-version-5/Thread-Container/2007/10/404-error-when-using-friendly-URLs/ ASPX and a corresponding page type, and I've created a couple http://www.iisadmin.co.uk/?p=72 of pages in Edit mode using this page type. When I click on View Mode, the browser attempts to load (for example) http://localhost/MySiteen/e-RT/test/ and I get HTTP 404. I get the same error if I click on the page in Edit Mode. However, I can http error access the same page directly by entering the following URL in a browser http://localhost/MySite/Default.aspx?id=1&epslanguage=en So, my guess would be that friendly URLs aren't working properly, but I don't know why as I haven't touched the UrlRewriteModule configuration. Is there something I need to set up that I've missed out? Any ideas?! BTW, I'm running the site http error 404.0 under IIS 5.1 Thanks, Ian By: eehen October 3 2007, 17:09 Sorry, that line should read http://localhost/MySite/en/e-RT/test/ By: eehen October 3 2007, 19:50 OK, I tried commenting out the following line in web.config, and it fixed the problem:
Apache Tomcat and IIS 6.0 using the JK 1.2 connector which you can find elsewhere on this blog. However, in response to a number of questions and comments on my blog and IIS forums I have decided to write a new installation guide for Apache Tomcat using the latest release of the JK 1.2 connector and IIS 7.0. Update : I have also written a guide for installing Tomcat with IIS 7.0 on Windows Server 2008 using the IIS Application Request Routing (ARR) module which you can find here : http://www.iisadmin.co.uk/?p=326 For the purposes of this guide I have used Java Runtime Version 6 Update 13, Apache Tomcat 6.0.18 and the JK 1.2.28 Connector. You can download the software used in this guide here : Java Version 6 Update 13 http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp Apache Tomcat http://tomcat.apache.org/download-60.cgi Tomcat Connectors (mod_jk) Downloads http://tomcat.apache.org/download-connectors.cgi Start by installing the Java runtime and accept the license agreement. Then change the installation target folder to C:\Java and then click OK and wait while Java installs Once you have installed Java you can start installing Tomcat. Double-click the apache-tomcat-6.0.18.exe file to invoke the Apache Tomcat Setup Wizard. Choose a Custom installation and ensure that the Examples are selected as shown here. You wouldn't necessarily want to install the sample applications in a production environment but we will be using them in this walkthrough so we need to install them. Select to install Tomcat in the C:\Tomcat folder as shown here. Once you have chosen the install location click Next. Leave the default HTTP/1.1 Connector port set to 8080 and choose a password for the admin account. The setup wizard should find your Java installation automatically. Click install and wait while Tomcat setup completes. When the installation is complete click Finish.
