Requests for an ASP.NET page (i.e. default.aspx) return the following message: HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found Description: The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) map policy that is configured on the Web server. IIS 7.0 (via the "Windows Features" applet in the Control Panel). When I examine the handler mappings for the machine (itself), the following entriesare listed: PageHandlerFactory-Integrated | *.aspx | Enabled | Unspecified | System.Web.UI.SimpleHandlerFactory | Local PageHandlerFactory-ISAPI-1.1 | *.aspx | Enabled | Unspecified | IsapiModule | Local PageHandlerFactory-ISAPI-2.0 | *.aspx | Enabled | Unspecified | IsapiModule | Local Note: These entries (above)are not listed for the default Web site or any of its applications. (I can only assume that they are inherited.) When I explicitly add a handler for the path, "*.aspx" to one of my applications, the error no longer appears. However, the ASP.NET does not appear to execute. (The content served back from IIS 7.0 is empty.) I would appreciate any advice to help resolve this issue. migrated your applications to IIS 7 or developing your new asp application and http error 404.3 - not found iis 6 on browsing the asp page if you encountered error like 404.3 “ HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found Description: The http error 404.3 - not found iis 8.5 wcf page you are requesting cannot be served because of the Multipurpose Internet Mail Extensions (MIME) map policy that is configured on the Web server. The page you requested has a file name extension https://forums.iis.net/t/1028546.aspx?ASP+NET+Configuration+HTTP+Error+404+3+Not+Found+ that is not recognized, and is not allowed. “ Upon checking Handler Mappings you won’t find mapping for *.asp to asp.dll. In that case you need to get ASP component installed from Windows feature –> IIS –> WWW services –> Application Development feature –> ASP (By Default ASP is not the installed on IIS 7 🙂 ) Secondly, I was having pretty simple two asp page.In one https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/jaskis/2009/07/20/iis7classic-asp-http-404-3-an-error-occurred-on-the-server-when-processing-the-url-please-contact-the-system-administrator/ page I was including second page as following: . Upon browsing it failed with error: “An error occurred on the server when processing the URL. Please contact the system administrator. If you are the system administrator please click here to find out more about this error.” For sure shot my application wasn’t throwing this custom error. Then who was in that case :(. As as security feature on IIS 7,sending script error details to client browser has been turned OFF. You can revert back to default behavior to check actual error by going into Features views -> ASP –> Debugging Properties –> Send Errors To Browsers : set it to True –> Apply After applying above setting actual error spit on the browser and ready to debug it further 🙂 Active Server Pages error ‘ASP 0126' Include file not found /Taxi/index1.asp, line 10 The include file ‘/taxi/temp1.asp' was not found. migrating site from IIS6 to IIS7.5 I migrated a website from IIS 6 to IIS 7 on another web server.I set http://world.episerver.com/Forum/Developer-forum/EPiServer-CMS-6-R2/Thread-Container/2013/1/HTTP-Error-4043---Not-Found-Error-after-migrating-site-from-IIS6-to-IIS75/ up a new application pool for ASP.NET 4 and installed a new site. I fixed web.config to solve the subsequent errors due to that IIS 7 has some handlersper default http://assist.biztalk360.com/support/solutions/articles/1000083724-error-type-http-error-404-3-not-found-add-a-mime-map- in the web.config (duplicate errors).ASP.NET is installed for IIS.When I browse the website I for some reason get to a page saying: 'Only CoreFiles installed".Maybe it is because that http error showing default.aspx doesn't work.
