Also, if the URL isn't to an actual file or if it's to a directory without an appended slash, you may get the 405 error. Another way to debug this is to use ethereal or some network monitor to see what is actually getting sent. R
Dreamweaver AppDev I really liked the DMX Support site. However... While very useful for troubleshooting beginning PHP and MySQL server setups, the tech note for this topic on the DMX Support site did http://www.justskins.com/forums/http-error-code-405-a-57941.html not cover problems with the Dreamweaver MX 2004 v7.01 "MySQL Connection" dialog box testing errors other than 401. Specifically, HTTP error codes 404 and 405. This was the problem that "woodbridge" was asking about. http://www.dbforums.com/showthread.php?795693-Dreamweaver-MX-error-405-w-MySQL-PHP I think it is a DMX bug. I'm running Win2k Pro, Apache, PHP and MySQL. I'm also trying to set up a test site on my local server. Whenever I try to select a database in Dreamweaver, i get the following error: HTTP ERROR CODE 405 METHOD NOT ALLOWED. I've tried the tech note solutions on Macromedia's site but to no avail. This is driving me crazy. I can connect to MySQL just fine using both MySQLadmin and MySQLCC.
