It must have a trailing slash, like this: [url]http://localhost/mysite/[/url] Also make sure your site is either in C:\Inetpub\wwwroot, or in a virtual directory that you have created for the Default Web Site in the Windows Internet Services Manager. -- David Powers Author, "Foundation PHP 5 for Flash" (friends of ED) Co-author "PHP Web Development with DW MX 2004" (Apress) [url]http://computerbookshelf.com[/url] David Powers Guest « Expiration Time | creating a "new user" submission form » Similar Threads HTTP Error Code 405 Method not allowed By graphwit in forum Dreamweaver AppDev Replies: 3 Last Post: August 17th, 03:35 PM HTTP Error Code 405 Method Not Allwed By kabwatha in forum Dreamweaver AppDev Replies: 2 Last Post: June 13th, 08:20 PM Flash and HTTP Error Code 500 Issues By silvers2000 in forum Macromedia Flash Data Integration Replies: 0 Last Post: May 18th, 06:28 PM PHP/MySQL Connection fine, Bindings / testing recordsetleads to HTTP Error Code 500 By PHPRooster in forum Dreamweaver AppDev Replies: 0 Last Post: April 30th, 01:06 PM gateway error By Carolyn in forum Windows Networking Replies: 0 Last Post: July 17th, 04:20 AM Bookmarks Bookmarks del.icio.us StumbleUpon Google Posting Permissions You may not post new threads You may not post replies You may not post attachments You may not edit your posts BB code is On Smilies are Off [IMG] code is On [VIDEO] code is On HTML code is Off Trackbacks are On Pingbacks are On Refbacks are On Forum Rules Contact Us | Just Skins | Archive | Top All times are GMT. I met a problem when http://www.justskins.com/forums/http-error-code-502-a-57943.html connect to Mysql Databse in Dreamweaver Details: My Php Environment: Php 5.2.2+ MySql 5.0.4 + IIS 6.0 + DW IDE + WinXP SP2, All necessary sevice started(Actually I have never stopped any Windows service). Php installed (IIS + CGI) and tested successfully in DW MySql Installtion(Typical Install with extensions ) and configuration are both OK. Configuration Details: For configuration type, select Detailed Configuration. For server type, select Developer Machine For https://forums.adobe.com/thread/65699 database usage, select Non-Transactional Database Only. For the number of concurrent connections, select Decision Support(DSS)/OLAP. For networking options, accept the default settings. For the default character set, accept the default setting. For the Windows options, select both options - Install As Windows Service, and Include Bin Directory in Windows Path. For security options, enter a root password and confirmed. And then I Created a database "mydb" with 3 tables inside by "MySql Command Line Client", ...... (Approach Obmit here) Open "MySql Command Line Client": Type >mysql Show Database mydb; Show a list with 3 tables(Created Successfully) Then In DW, Open my Php webpage, Then from Database Panel>MySql Connection, Connect Name:myconn Mysql Server:localhost Username:root (Right) Password:111111(Right) Database:mydb Click "OK", but when DW tried to connect to MySql database, then DW popuped an alert dialog says "HTTP Error Code 502 Bad Gateway", I don't know what this mean and how to solve this problem, hope any PHP and DW expert can help me, thank you very much. This server received an invalid response from an upstream server it accessed to fulfil the request. This usually does not mean that the upstream server is down (no response to the gateway/proxy), but rather that the upstream server and the gateway/proxy do not http://www.checkupdown.com/status/E502.html agree on the protocol for exchanging data. Given that Internet protocols are quite clear, it often means https://developer.mozilla.org/en-US/docs/Web/HTTP/Status/502 that one or both machines have been incorrectly or incompletely programmed. Fixing 502 errors - general This problem is due to poor IP communication between back-end computers, possibly including the Web server at the site you are trying to visit. Before analysing this problem, you should clear your browser cache completely. If you are surfing the Web and see this problem for all Web sites you try to http error visit, then either 1) your ISP has a major equipment failure/overload or 2) there is something wrong with your internal Internet connection e.g. your firewall is not functioning correctly. In the first case, only your ISP can help you. In the second case, you need to fix whatever it is that is preventing you reaching the Internet. If you get this problem for only some of the Web sites you try to visit then it is likely to be a problem at those sites i.e. http error code one of their pieces of equipment is failing/overloaded. Contact the people at those sites. Fixing 502 errors - CheckUpDown Our service monitors your site for HTTP errors like 502. Use of proxies and caching is increasing on the Web. Our CheckUpDown robot will always try to "drill through" to the real computer that actually hosts the Web site, but we do not have complete control over where our HTTP request actually ends up. If only one link in the chain of computers dealing with our HTTP request is broken, then an error such as 502 can easily occur. Please contact us (email preferred) whenever you encounter 502 errors - there is nothing you can do to sort them out. We then have to liaise with your ISP and the vendor of the Web server software so that they can review the flow of IP data traffic between various computers under their control. 502 errors in the HTTP cycle Any client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) goes through the following cycle when it communicates with the Web server: Obtain an IP address from the IP name of the site (the site URL without the leading 'http://'). This lookup (conversion of IP name to IP address) is provided by domain name servers (DNSs). Open an IP socket connection to that IP address. Write an HTTP data stream through that socket. Receive an HTTP data stream back from the Web server in response. This data stream contains status codes whose values are deter
