Join Now Hello Everyone, I have submitted a trouble ticket to microsoft in regards to https://community.spiceworks.com/topic/210837-outlook-2011-for-mac-i-am-getting-an-http-error-post-data-is-too-large this issue. They seem to be of no help as usual! Client Computers Effected: Mac OS X 10.6 and Above running Office 2011. Issue: Error: "Http Error: Post Data is Too Large" At first this was http://www.networksteve.com/exchange/topic.php/Outlook_2011_and_EWS_-_Large_messages_not_sending/?TopicId=22663&Posts=6 just with one user. Now it has to all Mac Users throughout the entire domain. When sending or replying to an email, the email fails to send and it is saved to your draft folder. 5 http error times out of 10, it will send successfully when you hit resend. It is hit or miss as to when we get this error. But It does happen a lot when it does come up. Now it usually happens when you send a message greater than 100KB. I have never heard it happening to any email that is small. Now, I have checked and verified the users mailbox is not full nor is it http error the restricted. I have sent out emails greater than 5mb with no problems. But for about the past 5 weeks this error pops up. Also I might add that when using fiddler, I captured packets that displayed the error. According to microsoft, the packets it was sending were malformed. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks everyone! NOTE: We do not have exchange in house. It is hosted through Microsoft online services. over 15MB. I have already set the relevant parameter within webconfig.ini so that up to 50mb can be sent. I have configured a handful of clients to connect directly to a test CAS of mine, and have managed to get a 16MB file sent successfully. but anything above tbis fails with 1 of the following: "HTTP error: The resource is not found" OR "Connection to the Server failed or was dropped" I have tried a number of things but none seem to have made a difference: 1)Changed MTU size on ethernet on the MAC. On Snow Leopard (10.6.6) the default is 1500, apparently Exchange can have a problem with this is it is not the 1492 default. 2)Tried a resend from within the Drafts folder (some people reported that they got this to work. After the email failed, it went into drafts). None of the above work for me. There are some notional postings on the web referring to an SSL\Handshaking timeout possibile within IIS on the CAS servers? Has anyone come across this or got any thoughts on what to try? Can you enable trace logging and send again, look at the logs to see if you can isolate if its an IIS restriction?James Chong MCITP | EA | EMA; MCSE | M+, S+ Security+, Project+, ITIL msexchangetips.blogspot.com Free Windows Admin Tool Kit Click here and download it now February 15th, 2011 1:36pm Does the user who can send the attachment with 16MB file also use Outlook 2011? Based on my research, please edited the file C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\ews\web.config and change the maxReceivedMessageSize value to 51200000 underneath the
